That's really vague. What are you trying to say?
the ones that are going to dictate what the prevailing opinion was of this era don't care about this "controversy"

The ones that care will be looked at out of touch old heads.

No difference than all the old heads complaining about the mafioso raps in the 90s.

@Rapmastermind You are a special kind of stupid.

Stop pretending as if you are objective or that your paragraphs came from the top of a mountain

:mjlol:

No objective person thinks that Nellly or Ja Rule were bigger than Drake or had better careers.

We are at the point now where only Jay z has had a better career than Drake and you can put Kanye and Wayne in the convo for fun

First I never force anyone to view my post as the gospel, it's a forum and everyone has opinions. With that said I don't normally respond to name calling because it shows a lack of intelligence. Obviously I struck a cord with my post. Sorry if the truth hurts. Nelly sold more records than Drake, By a lot. Nelly has more Hot 100 #1 singles than Drake. Nelly has more awards than Drake. What album does he have bigger than "Country Grammer"? None. He doesn't even have an album bigger than "Nellyville". How exactly has Drake had a better career is Nelly when beats him in all those catagories? As for Ja Rule, His albums are about equal in sales. Plus Ja Rule did the Sing/Rap first and was successful at it while Drake was busy on Degrassi. Being Objective means to take in all information, process it and form an opinion. I brought up the "Ghostwriting" to point out why I view those emcees Skillwise higher than Drake. Lastly saying Drake had a "Better" Career than everyone in Hip Hop History but Jay Z says more about your lack of Objectivity than anything I typed.

Now, Why are you bringing up specific accomplishments just to win an argument.

Views was number 1 for 13th straight weeks and is currently #1 again. If people was still buying albums like in 2005. shyt would be crazy.

One Dance was #1 for damn near 3 months this year. Only Elvis did some shyt like

Drake has has more top 10 records than Nelly and more songs on billboard 100 than any rapper outside wayne and Jay z.

Awards :laff:

Drake is currently on one of the biggest rap tours ever.

Drake has the record for most songs on the billboard hot 100 at one time (20)

Drake is with wayne and Jay z as most songs to chart and he did it in less than half the time of these 2.

You see how easy that was? Only Jay z can match Drake in accomplishment and as I said you can put Kanye and Wayne up there if I want.

Now to the ghostwriting.

Show me where Drake has had entire songs written for him?

Oschino and Peedi were on Drink Champs saying Jay z would straight up steal songs they were working on and not even feature them on the song.

How is that any different than Drake getting hooks from QM?

This past summer The RIAA has now ceritifed "Country Grammer" 10x Platinum. Nelly Joins a Historic Class of MC Hammer, Biggie, Tupac, Outkast and Eminem as the only rappers to go diamond.

:skip: i dont even know how to respond to this. Take care isnt even better than vol 1
Smh it's way better than inconsistent ass Vol. 1 and Vol. 1 is one of my favorite Jay albums with some of my favorite Jay songs...

C'mon son, Take Care was at least a 4 Mic album, a great work :heh:

To answer this thread, Drake is Jay's son. Drake is to this generation what Jay was to his generation...

:usure: only two or three weak songs on vol 1. if vol 1 is inconsistent then TC is definitely inconsistent. Compare the best songs on vol 1 and the best songs on TC and its not even close either

I dont even know why we are comparing these two albums cause a lot of TC is singing so its a weird comparison :russ:

How is it smart to compare early 2000's sales to 2010's sales? :heh:

Ja did big numbers and has classic hits but his albums were critically panned.

So why isn't Nelly bigger than Jay z? Jay z never did that?

Nelly had a 2 album run.

Drake has been the biggest thing in rap from 2009 to now.

Drake has had top 10 hits every year for 7 years.

Who can say that other than Wayne and Jay z?

Not only that. Jay wrote that album in full. Drake wrote like 10% of Take Care :mjlol:

In terms of having a grasp on the genre he is on a comparable level.

nikka has been hot since like 09, nikka do you know how long that is? Kobe had just won his first title without Shaq in 09, that is how long that is.

Dude has been running shyt for damn near a decade, if he maintains it for another 3yrs it will be a decade

How is Take Care inconsistent, I'd remove 2 tracks out of 20. I'd remove Make Me Proud and We'll Be Fine, they aren't bad songs just average filler.

In My Lifetime has I Know What Girls Like and Sunshine :scust:

Vol. 1 wasn't even well received :what:
