Drake is Kanye without the redeeming qualities. I've never heard of him needing a writer, but he doesn't have production credits. He's not the best rapper and not the best singer. He's Kordell Stewart.

On an all time greatest rappers list he could maybe crack a top 75. Probably a top 25 if you're under 25.

Versatility is often underrated in these discussions. For example, Ice Cube is an all time legend. But if I told you that the only music you could listen to for the next 30 days, was either his entire catalogue or Drake's, I don't see how anyone could wouldnt be bored to death after about a week of nothing but Ice Cube songs. It's the same reason Hov is the best ever to me. They got shyt where they're just blacking out with bars on the beat, smooth shyt you can cruise to by yourself at night, shyt you can play when you're getting ready to go out at night, shyt you can play when you're with a chick, shyt to play in the background while you play Madden lol, etc

It's the best R&B/rap fusion I heard, several classic songs, great features and production, still gets burn to this day, representation of its time. I'd say it's a classic. It's not Cuban Linx or something, but it's still a classic I'd rate classics in tiers honestly.
