No one on this board will ever admit that Drake dropped a classic album. The same board where Young Thug has dozens of stans or the Drill Music scene and it's 35 year old male groupies. A lot of nikkas on here still believe Drake can't rap. :mjlol: So yeah, even if Drake dropped a Thriller no one would call it a classic.

drake is versatile?he talks about money and p*ssy lol

I'm extremely familiar with his catalogue and I couldn't disagree more. Also, I think it's less about the general content and more about the depth of the issue. For example, a song like "The Ride" could be summarized by saying it's about success, but that would be doing it a disservice. His lyrics are far more relatable than most rappers, at the end of the day.

a coli member could drop a classic before Drake.

his stans cry because people don't want to accept the albums they are forcing on us lmao :dead:
Drake doesn't have a single critically acclaimed album, hes never on top of these albums lists, never and the only people who call his albums classics are his DIE HARD FANS (not even fans, I know plenty of drake fans who can admit that drake hasn't dropped a classic yet)

drake stans are pathetic, they're acting like victims :dead:

Don't blame it on the coli because most rap fans in general consider his best album a 7 or 8/10

No one is saying he can't rap. We're saying that it isn't the quality that his stans try to make it out to be. This, like I said, coming from one of his OG stans. I use to run around Brooklyn like.. "Yo yall fukk with Drake? No? Yall Crazy, Bump this shyt" and then throw on his Swagger Like Us Freestyle to put nikkas on. Way before he was huge. He dont got a classic yet. He has good albums, but no classics. Best Album is Take Care, and it's nowhere near a classic. :yeshrug:

I think I see what you mean. I just think he's a poor mans version of reasonable doubt jay z. Nothing worth hyping but nikkas do od with the hate.

Drake doesn't have a classic?

Check his album reviews.
Since when did a bunch of men in their 30s who still blog on rap sites determine what a classic is

a few new school rappers are usually ranked very high on these "greatest rappers of all time " lists but Drake isn't one of them... never seen him ranked higher than his peers from the new school on these lists.

I'd probably give him top 70-80, nothing more, he ain't skilled enough for that, hes just a popular rapper.

Nelly nor Ja were hot for 6 years(and counting)

I hold Drake in that exact same category of just the Hot nikka right now. He could very well end up being Nelly or Ja. Granted they haven't been as hot for as long, Nelly has had a more successful run than Drake I think so far. Not that Drake won't surpass him. He's not a great lyricist but obviously his audience doesn't care and thats not his appeal. Drake just doesn't have an album or a body of work that definitely puts him up there with the greats just yet, we'll see tho.

Remember when he first came out and people were praising him for actually leading to the resurgence of lyrics again in mainstream rap?

:comeon:

that was just propaganda.

last i checked, drake is approaching 30 himself. hes not a young rapper. matter fact, he never was at any point of his career.

wouldnt it make better sense for his peer group to have the main say on his album? more importantly, wouldnt it make sense for seasoned listeners who actually understand rap to judge his album, as opposed to a bunch of kids who dont know anything except what theyre brainwashed to know?

lol @ album reviews. youre lost in the smoke-screen. besides, most of those album reviews come from people well over 30 anyway.
