Rugby players cardio>>>

Play doesn't stop when a player gets tackled, and the players stay on the pitch and don't get switched on an off ... Playing back row is grueling :whew:

You need conditioning to be running sprints for multiple reps.

So if you're a receiver, corner, hell yes it matters.

It's not like jogging or bicycle endurance, your body and lungs need to adapt to giving 100% bursts for reps.

You have nikkas doing wind sprints, they're ready to throw up and tap out...

Compared to basketball, soccer or even a rugby endurance is not that important in football.

Gonna edit because I misread the title, yes it is important. Especially considering you aren't running around In a t shirt and shorts
In american-football it's more about muscle endurance than cardiovascular endurance even tho both are involved. But it's still endurance thus yeah you need it.

But needless to say most american-football players wouldn't last half a regular football (soccer) game. They are simply not used to the constant activity. American-football players are used to short burst at full speed and then stop. and when I say stop you completely STOP. No such thing in football (soccer). You're at full speed 3/4 of the time and the time that you are not you're at least at jogging speed. And no substitutions in every other play like american-football either.

First time i watched an american football game i was wondering why they were always substituting players.Plus when offense vs defense are on the field its a completely different set of players so your offense or defense which was already getting a break to breath at the end of every play can now REST on the bench. And these are the "skilled" players I'm referring to like QBs, WRs, DB's and stuff. OLs and DLs and even LBs wouldn't last 5 minutes on a soccer field. Their cardio simply isn't built for it

Basketball and football (soccer) players dont get as many breaks as american-football but their bodies CANNOT take the pounding that american-football inflicts.

Sure, completely ignore the rest of my point to get yours across and still be way off, breh :mjlol:
And no when it comes to Cardiovascular most of your most fit football players (WRs, DBs, RBs and QBs) wouldn't last. Let's not even talk about OLs, TEs, DLs, and LBs

Think OP is asking this because the actual length of a football game while the ball is in play from the QB getting the ball to the whistle is like 13-15 minutes :manny:

But like someone said, cardio is needed because football happens in bursts, throw in hot weather and gear also and that shyt does not look fun:sadcam:

i can guarantee you in your average competitive football game those 13 to 15 minutes of actual whistle play will have you fukkin gassed.

starting at cornerback against a team that throws the ball like 40 times a game :whew:
