I never realized his stats were on this level...he was always a good, solid RB though

He never came off as "superstar" to me like AP did despite not being on a real contender.

I gotta say...I don't think he should be a HOFer compared to the other RBs who are. A 5x pro bowl and 1 second team is not enough accolades.

He was never a stand out, league leading, award winner of any type but his 4th all time is impressive. His resume is very thin by comparison to everyone in the top 10. I just can't put him in the same company as Emmitt, Walter P, or Barry.

I mean, if Curtis Martin and Jerome Bettis are in the Hall, he'll get in. He's had a very long, productive career; however he's never been considered the best RB in the league. When I think of first ballot HOF, I'm thinking Emmitt, Jim Brown, Barry, OJ... he's not on that level of RB even if he has eye-opening counting stats

His career has been comparable to someone like Curtis Martin. And since he's in, Frank for will easily get in. The number of yards alone should get him in first ballot.

Probably a third year HOF. Curtis got in as early as he did playing in front of NY writers. Frank didnt have that luxury.

65 year old voter going down the checklist for voting "how many times did Frank Gore make it on TMZ?" :mjlol: you sound STUPID

but in reality he will be 1st ballot or 2nd year :umad:

I don't think it's as cut or dry as you're making it. I am a person that thinks Gore will get in because of his counting stats but you're talking about a guy who:

- never led the league in rushing yards
- never led the league in TDs
- was never voted an All-Pro

So you've got a guy who has never been top 2 at his position at any time in his career, never led the league in rushing yards, only has a handful of Pro Bowl attempts... this is for the Hall of Fame not the Hall of Very Good for a Very Long Time

are these questions on the hall of fame ballot ? that you need to lead in these categories ? or are you just making this up ? Because last I checked they look at the whole body of work of a career. Not peaks.. thats why it was controversial when Terrel Davis got in because it was based on his peak and thats usually the opposite of how they vote

also 6x pro bowler is not a "hand full" of pro bowl attempts :mjlol:

the same shyt yall argue against Gore could be used against Larry Fitzgerald.. youd be hard pressed to find anyone to say Fitzgerald isnt going 1st ballot, let alone a hall of famer..

Different eras and different conference as a whole for most of them.. No one said Frank Gore is the best running back of ALL TIME and here you are comparing him to Walter Payton, Barry Sanders and Emmit Smith, 3 of the arguably best running backs of all times :mindblown: So Larry Fitzgerald shouldnt get in because he was never as good as Randy Moss, Jerry Rice or TO ? :mindblown:

and you never know, the 49ers may retire his number. Hes still an active players so I dont think they can retire it now anyway.. so im not getting why thats used as a point here

Fitz made All Pro 3 times and was in the Pro Bowl 11 times, it's not analogous. Gore made the Pro Bowl 6 times in a 14 year career, that ain't that great.
