I'm a huge Jets fan. In Curtis' biggest game as a Jet he completely shyt the bed, 15 yards rushing, 1 fumble. Cost the Jets a championship.
You actually believe Curtis suddenly forgot how to run the ball that game? :baker:

Art Monk was a longevity HOFsmer moreso than a player who was head and shoulders above his peer year after year hall of famer. He had to wait several years before he got in. Frank is that to an even lesser degree and folks are in here talking first ballot? :dahell:

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
the HOF isn't all about stats.

I'm a cowboy fan and just based no numbers alone, Aikman shouldn't be in the HOF. Neither should Bradshaw.

Either you have to be on great teams or you have to put up amazing stats.

I think if Gore had over 100 rushing TD's he would be a shoe in.

Earl also had more all pro seasons And more seasons where he lead the league in rushing
Yeah I wasnt saying that Earl shouldnt be in. But their career numbers are really close to the same.

Lynch also was a top 2 back for a period of time in the league. I think he needs another good season or 2 to solidify him, but I don't know if hes gonna get it. The years in buffalo really cost him.

Another thing that may go against Gore getting 1st ballot consideration is if he retires the same year as Peterson. There is no way he and Peterson get in at the same time.

As mentioned already, Isaac Bruce had this going for him:

He ranked second in yards (15,208), fifth in catches (1024) and eighth in touchdowns (91). And he did it despite sharing the stage for nine seasons with teammate Torry ****, another credible Hall candidate.

Edgerrin James
Priest Holmes
Jamal Lewis
Roger Craig

These are some of the players Gore has to contend with, on top of Peterson, in order to get in first or second ballot. Will be rough.

Thing is, Earl had years where he was head and shoulders above his contemporaries and peers. Frank never had that himself and only is going in based off his longevity. Is the same thing as art Monk
