Yeah I prefer his older shyt too...There might not be that huge of a difference with his music then and now but you can obviously hear the hunger, conviction and ambition he once had decaying now. That's why I laugh and cringe when I hear people say Mask Off is the best song Future ever made. I honestly don't even think its top 10 or 20 from him. I don't care if its his biggest record to date. Those two albums he dropped back to back was by far his worst material. I thought Honest was very slept on because it came out during when Rich Homie Quan, Young Thug and the Migos were gaining more attention than him.
Old Future was alot more creative, free, energetic.I liked how he utilized the autotune and used his voice. Its like on songs he makes currently, his voice sounds too monotone. He sounds bored and unmotivated and seem to be running out of shyt to say. His flow did get stronger and tighter, but lyrically he's gotten weaker.
Maybe its also due to the fact that Astronaut Status played a significant part of my life when I used to go kick it with my friends, get drunk then high tail to the club and get on some bishes. Those were great times.
