Is God selfish? Asking for all that praise while he don't do so shyt for anyone. And folk really be arguing over who the chosen ones. Chosen to do what? Suffer a lil more than the rest?
You do have to wonder why god wants humans to praise him so much.
I mean, if I was an omnipotent deity I don't think I would care that much about being worshipped by humans.![]()

once again, this jesus christ guy keeps reappearing in every thread related to this topic.I hear you op but if I allowed my son to painfully hang on a cross for hours and die for sinful people, I would want people to be thankful constantly as well. This is what our loving God did for us by allowing Jesus to die for our sins.
As a Christian, I believe Jesus painfully died and was resurrected so that we might gain an eternal life free of pain and grief if we believe in Him. (Romans 10:9-10)
I'll take - and have taken - a lot of suffering in this short earthly life in order to live an eternal life in heaven where there will be no more pain, suffering and grief. And I don't mind thanking and praising God all the time because He deserves it.
I respect other people with differing religious beliefs and opinions, I'm just stating what I personally believe.

Question though, why exactly is it that Jesus had to die in order for god to forgive our sins?
I mean if god wants to forgive someone's sins, can't he just forgive them without having to torture and kill someone else? That part seems kind of unnecessary and violent.
