that was obviously after the song got hot in NYisn't there footage of him singing and dancing for a bunch of white record execs?
i didn't know how hot the track was cuz i don't really associate with teenagers anymore.all good u cant help ur agei didn't know how hot the track was cuz i don't really associate with teenagers anymore.

If u 30 u a grown ass man hip hop is a youth thinng prolly why u missed it![]()
i mean even in the 90s the youngbuls were dissing nikkaz for being old or "flabbynsick"does it have to be though?
is there no room in the mainstream for "grown up" music?
was the shyt that was poppin off in the 90's "young folk" music?
i dunno.

Rap was always rebel youth music , that acounts for its long gevity so fardoes it have to be though?

meh.
hot nikka >>>> whoa
and there were songs in the same vein as "hot nikka" back when "whoa" was out. i dont know why people are trying to file schmurda under the same bracket as category as souljah boy and stanky leg. smh.
quite a few actually.
but i get your point.
It was the hottest song of 2014, and the biggest record of the entire summer
How is that not classic? You nikkas be living in your own worlds man
Just because you personally don't like a song/artist doesn't make it not classic
....and its a lot of hot summer records that aint goin down as no damn classic.....this song probably Pretty Boy Swag level of classic,do we really need to classify that record as a classic
....Sure we remember it cuz it was big and came out recently, but do yall realize how many records we would have to call classic based off that criteria
....the fact its mostly about the dance already got this song on the outside looking in
...at least Teach Me how To Dougie got the fact the Dougie is a timeless dance going for it....people gon forget how this dance went by this time next year and the song alone don't stand on its on
Im in my early 30s which isn't really old and dusty depending on who you ask loldamn you old n dusty?
Hip hop aint just for the youth anymore cuz everybody that grew up on hip hop got older. You think nikkas hit their 30s and all of a sudden fall outta touch? That's ridiculous. Half the good rappers are 30 and over or pushing 30 anywayall good u cant help ur age

how many songs from the 80s do people still bump?i bet you there are bunch of muthafukkas who came up in the 00's that could recite every word to chingy's "holidae inn".
it was a hit, but it wasn't a CLASSIC hit.
and how do we know? because it's audience did not grow over time. the only people feelin that track today in 2014 are the same people who were feelin it in 2003.
the song did not endure the times. future generations are not going to cling to chingy because they heard "holidae inn" on the radio. in fact they might even go their entire lives without ever hearing that track on the radio, period.
meanwhile i bet there are kids who weren't even BORN when "gin n juice" was released but still know it.
whoever is feelin "hot nikka" NOW... those are the only ppl who are EVER gonna be feelin that shyt.
