So if kurupt is not west coast then Tupac is not west coast, wtf are yall talking about? so kurupt is not a west coast artist now:gucci:
its fukk nikkas way to subtract from the coast, "well hes not really from the west"

who the fukk cares, kurupt like Pac became who he is when he got to the west.

I don’t really consider Kurupt from the west. He’s from Philly. He didn’t move to LA til he was 16.
He's an East Coadt rapper though.
hes a west coast rapper, i dont get yall and putting nikkas where you want them, when they clearly stated and have a identited with such and such.

Dialated peoples(group), freestyle fellowship(group) , and kendrick are better lyricists imo.

But Cube is definitely number 2 when it comes to mainstream lyricists from the west.

Ice Cube is one of the greats for a time period.

To me the best west coast rapper is either Del or Holocaust if he was born on the west. Not sure but he reps west.

HELL NAW and I’m speaking from when he was with NWA and up until however long some of u nikkaz feel or felt he was the best lyricist :rudy:
Rass and Chino were wayyyyyy past that boy when it came to lyrics:ufdup:

I was going to say Chino cause he reps west.

But he's from New Jersey.

To me I think I keep it where rappers were born and what they rep.

Pac was from NY but repped west.

There's something about repping a coast
And being born there.

Kool Keith - Bronx
Em - Detroit
Nas - NY

Etc

Breh no one on the west coast would agree with you. ‘west side connection gets more lay as a whole than amerikkkas most wanted and death certificate the albums production style is to dated.

If you were to ask me lyrically? His zenith was the war album. The ice cube who wrote those albums would body chino xl an ras kass at the same time. Imho
:why:

Other than Pac, no other West Coasters get mentioned regularly in people's top 5-10 GOAT lists. Personally I think Cube was better in his prime than Pac.

Cube to me was a much more interesting and talented lyricist..infact, many of the West Coast emcees wrote very well.

Pac repeated and rehashed too many lines and rhymes..and he appeared to have limited range.

Neither one are gonna hit you over the head with a bunch of metaphors, punchlines or word play. But they never wasted words and they mic presence is top notch
I mean
No one outside the top elite lyricist who are super lyrical or punchline rappers really do this

most rappers use these devices but not at the amount a elite type like Aceyalone, Ras, Cambatta, early to mid 90s Common etc do. or as frequent as punchliners like Wayne, Fab, etc.

Most rappers including Jay-Z, Nas, T.I, 50, Drake, Cole really dont throw constant lyrical devices at you except for lyrical bragging songs, and maybe freqent internals and compounds.

You have a obsession with pac

And Pac having limited range is idiotic.

Dude penned songs from I Aint Mad at Cha
If I die tonight
Blasphemy
Etc

But he's limited? Man STFU:mjlol:

:gucci: Not even trolling breh! Game got the best Discography out west

Yall hate on him because of his fukked up personality. But his Discography is unfukkwitable
Game overachieved, but the thread is lyricism. Game isn't that. His discography is better than average but I still have Cube over him easily. It's easier to not appear to fall off when your subject matter is that limited. Also, the name dropping has to count against him. It's a crutch, and is ridiculous for someone who is supposed to be a top tier MC.
