I haven't been to haiti since I was yay high. I can only talk about what I've heard and that would be that as such some places in Haiti are very beautiful such as cities like Petionville, Jacmel, Kenscoff etc.I heard Haiti is very beautiful, especially Port Au Prince.
@Fatboi1 or any other Haitians can you confirm?
As many problems as Jamaica has, it could have been like Haiti. They ended slavery back in 1832 by the Maroons revolting against the English Redcoats.
That revolt was suppressed and they remained under British rule until 1962
Just like Nigeria. They were under British rule too, and now they are one of the fastest growing economies in the African continent.
What are you trying to say
If im not mistaken the french swapped a lot of what is now canada for haiti.
As much problems as Jamaica has, it could have been like another Haiti. Everyone knows about Jamaica and no one really tries to disrespect the island, unlike Haiti.
I'm asking you to expand on your point.
I'm saying that Jamaica ain't as broke as people portray it to be, outside of a few areas like Kingston and Spanish Town.
That is not what you were just saying.
Anyway from Jamaicans themselves i was told outside of tourist areas the general population lives poor.
And anyway if you think the average block in Haiti is what you see on CNN and general American perception you're mistaken breh.
It's akin to TV showing New Orleans and Detriot as representing America. It's the bottom of the barrel slums used as propaganda.
