I think the TV deals are gonna fuçk em in the end. W/ that and spreading all the games over different channels and streaming platforms, AND w/ the blacking out even on League Pass it’s getting harder to watch games.

Idk. The league ratings has been going down YOY since 03’. W/ Bron leaving in a few years, and no new star established yet, it may be tough
Just saw an article this morning about how the NHLs winter classic drew their worst ratings. I feel the NBA has lost ratings but no different from basically everything not football. Particularly NFL and college.
There's just a ton of noise and a particular set of outrage journalists that love stirring the pot and driving the narrative.
Youngest guy on my staff doesn't have cable. Pretty much only follows his Alma Mater KU in terms of going out of his way to watch games. He basically just gets his fill of highlights of all sports football included from Twitter and tiktok.
I've heard the NBA has strong social media impressions/views.
I think it's also an era where the younger audience isn't connected to their local/familial team. They just like players. The games available don't feature guys you like. You don't watch and just search out the clips

Gotta admit my breh, I don't agree with this. Partially because the UFC has done a bad job of marketing it's stars, but also the stars that it has, ends up having to withdraw from the card for reasons.
