These improvements are artificial and alter a particular feature that they are dissatisfied with.... Most of the women that I see coming out of tanning salons are a couple of shades darker than me. Does that mean they want to be of another ethnicity? A lot of the suburban white moms in my town can barely move their face because of botox. They love the full lip look that the majority of ethnic women possess. Yet, they are rarely maligned for their insecurities or accused of wanting to be another race.

Tanning is a bit out of bounds here, I think.
White women tanning doesn't mean they want to be black -- not to me anyway.
There are white women that have naturally tanned skin (Mediterranean women?).
I think what tanning does is it gives their skin a certain kind of glow.
I don't think tanning booths are healthy, so I guess I'd prefer they did it naturally.
But the act of tanning = black? I don't make that connection.

yeah, white women aren't trying to look black when they tan. if anything they're trying to look "exotic". the whole "they are trying to look black" angle is BS.
