is it normal for women aged 21-29 to not know how to cook from scratch?

Regardless of socio economic developments,i feel that cooking is a life skill that both men and women should have in their arsenal. I was raised by elders who taught us that a man should be able to run his house by himself if need be. Cooking, sowing, cleaning, guarding your spiritual well-being (rituals),washing, repairs around the house are things I learned from my mother, brothers, sisters ,uncles and aunts. This was normal in my culture but I think I'm of the last generation to be brought up like this. The young men mostly are not as self sufficient and the women are even worse cause they think these skills are part of their oppression when it's just being able to take care of yourself if the luxuries of today disappear or loss of income has you depending on these skills to survive.

Brehs chasing down these Gen Z broads may have empty balls but they have empty plates too.

Pick your poison. :yeshrug:

And just like that, the FB/EP(full balls + empty plates) Index as a leading factor of sociological PTSD is thus reaffirmed and codified.

The internet is truly a magical place. :jbhmm:

I really be surprised when I meet a chick that can cook. That tell me off the rip they likely grew up in a fairly solid family environment.

If a woman leaves her mother’s house and doesn’t know how to cook basic meals and prepare healthy snacks she will have to learn it from somewhere else.

Thankfully now we have the internet so there’s really no excuse for lacking in this area.

I learned how to cook from my grandmother and the food network.
