Is it the consensus of heads tha the GOAT producer in rap is between Primo and Ye?

RZA edges out everyone for me, and Premo would be close.

RZA can use sounds in his beats that no one else at the time and probably to this day can utilize, and he has all types of different rhythms that he uses along with authentic instrumentation when need be. However, RZA (and premo for that matter) haven't aged well as producers in more recent days. Dre gets the nod in that aspect.

How so? Even if they have no classics (which is laughable), the production was always considered top notch. Not to mention Primo produced classic tracks for other rappers.

a) rap is very regional. You're brought up to dikkride the music coming out your own region and put it on a pedestal above others, even if it's trash

b) NY has been arrogant about the they make while shytting on other coasts, which creates resentment

c) insecurity is a motha. The other coasts know the deal when it comes to the East but many still feel a type of way
