The biggest reason i commonly see is because of religion and spirituality. Some of the greatest spiritual masters never engaged it, and instead cultivated that energy completely towards their spritual endeavors. Jesus, Rabia, etc. I know in Hinduism they have exercises and practices which help divert sexual energy elsewhere.

I only knew of 1 person over 21 that was a virgin. He was a friend of my old coworker. At the time he was 27. According to my co-worker, he grew up in a religious household so he was shielded due to that. Now he's open to having sex, but he won't just have sex with anybody. At one of our Christmas parties, one fo the smut waitresses was making out with him, and dude said he wanted to take things slow He said he'd have sex, but only after really getting the know the girl and see if he likes her enough to have sex with her. The problem was the more girls got to know him, the more they were turned off by him and ran away. Apparently he was just socially awkward and didn't know how to talk to girls. I believe it's because he started at such a late age.

This is why I'm partially ok with guys being active as early as possible (14/15). Even if you're actually not having sex, you get the experience of talking to girls. Because it only gets harder as you get older

If you're more interested in getting that paper and focusing on your studies then yes, sex will become a major distraction and women and all of that.

That's personally not for me though at this point in time, but I have to atleast say that I respect those that don't let the temptations of the flesh run their lives. I feel too many dudes sell themselves short and waste too much time and money trying to chase ass and failing miserably and that could of been heavily invested in other things. It's like with any feeling. Sure, the feeling of getting laid or getting high might be great, but then you are constantly chasing that high and allowing your hormones and emotions and urges overrun you.

This is why I don't watch porn anymore. The shyt is stupid. I don't care to watch other people have sex. And another thing, in this oversexualized climate of society, alot of people do not respect the fact that alot of people aren't interested in sex or don't care to disclose their sex lives to everyone and anyone. I don't get it. It's like they don't understand that people aren't like them. And sex is a very uncomfortable topic for alot of people, and understandably so. Too many emotions and other things involved that can truly distort one's perceptions of life and humanity and the opposite sex. It's important to focus on you first and foremost and your own goals and desires, then everything else will come easy (no pun intended).
