This is exactly it! Cole went Gold on his own in this market on the same album he said fukk jigga and talked about Beyonce titties. The thing with Jigga is, and it's becoming extremely clear now, his business ventures are strictly about HIS bread and strictly about strengthening and broadening his OWN brand. The decisions he has made recently aren't considering feelings or the heart or whatever. For example, he continued his shyt at Barney's in NYC despite the racist profiling and got Cano a deal in Seattle and refused to give hometown discount.

He doesn't have to big up Cole because he knows Cole is going to make him money regardless if he puts time in. This time he can use to further his own brand by "giving" Drake a future..or exposing himself to Drake's demographic for his own reasons.

Jigga know he got a star in Cole. And Cole has his own lane of music, which Jigga just doesn't fit into anymore.

J. Cole's dome well for himself without the huge Jay Z push tbh. He does need to step away from making beats for his own projects though 'cause he gets too caught up in his sound and the albums come off bland.

J cole is very dope, I honestly don't understand the hate on here. I know it's cool 2 say he boring blah blah blah, his music is entertaining to who it is entertaining to. To me most of the nikkas y'all big up be boring to me(ie the over the top trap songs and the drill shyt and a lot more). Most cole song give me intellectual thought after I hear them, and that's the type of shyt that interest me more than anything.

The game has given and can get a lot worst than j cole, we should appreciate him as an artist for what he is.

Cole surpassed everyone's expectations and outsold Kanye. He tours the world and builds his fanbase like a legit artist.
