Their receiving corps is weak outside of Diggs. Knox drops so many crucial catches, Gabe Davis stinks. They don't run the ball consistently well, and their online isn't consistent either.

Buffalo's biggest problem is that they are content with living and dying with Josh Allen -- or in particular, letting the Allen-to-Diggs connection dictate the overall offensive flow -- when they absolutely don't have to. This isn't to say Diggs isn't like that, because he is every bit of elite and without him, Allen doesn't realize the potential he's realized. I wouldn't know how strong their pass-catching corps actually is because a considerable amount of times, Bills games/offensive possessions feel like they are effectively a game of catch between Allen and Diggs while the rest of team either blocks or gets their cardio in.

Their run game is inconsistent probably because the team doesn't lean into it despite the fact that on a per carry basis, Buffalo has one of the league's best/most efficient rushing offenses in the NFL. Right now they have the No. 6 rusher in the league (Cook).

But to answer the question? No. He's legitimately a top 5-7 QB.

Overrated isn't quite the same as over-protected/over-coddled. But it seems that shine has been wearing off Allen as of late.

Let’s not do this today. Any other QB having to rely on the run game, would be an indictment on their skill set and decision making abilities. They need to go to run more, because they can’t trust Allen not to make mistakes on a consistent basis. Receivers have drops, it’s part of the game, but to be as careless with the ball as Allen, and to play with a lack of maturity, this needs to be called out. No other QB gets the trash Receivers excuse. I could see why someone like a Diggs would be angry every season. When Buffalo doesn’t get it done, they just default to blaming the received and supporting cast. :mjlol:

Some QBs just aren’t judged the same. Y’all jumping out the window to defend this guy.
You sure about that?

Not to the extent of Allen at least. When Baltimore had a slow start, brehs are ready to throw Lamar under the bus because “He finally got his weapons, and he still a fraud”. Josh Allen and that AFC shootout nearly 3yrs ago with Mahomes, had bought him more goodwill than any QB I’ve seen. Your receiving core shouldn’t dictate your questionable decisions. Especially when you have a defense that is keeping things close for you. Every mistake counts. He’s basically being asked to be game manager, and doing a horrible job at it. That pick before the half was atrocious.
