I think they are at least at the same level. I’m waiting on D’Lo to take a leap. He’s going in to his 4th year and hasn’t really expanded his game.

The leap normally comes in yr 3...he was playing well before he got hurt...when he got hurt Dinwiddie balled...but then it didn't look like they could play together

Let's be reality. I can tell off rip most of you guys either don't watch Nets games or are still trying to justify dumping D'Angelo Rusell for Lonzo Ball.

:mjlol: this. These hot takes man. Dudes have not watched a single Nets game since D-lo left LA, and now they declare that Josh Hart's recent summer league performance somehow automatically makes him the better player.:heh: Breh would be sitting behind Dinwiddie if he was in Brooklyn, but somehow he has surpassed DLo.

So Cal
I did like Ingram at the point...esp as he displayed defensive versatility

However, based upon what we saw last season, the draft & SL, our starting lineup should have been

Zo
Hitman
BI
Kuz
Swagner

Stop underappreciating Lonzo...you won't find one other PG in the league capable of averaging 7 boards, 7 dimes, 2 stls & a blk as a rook
While also shooting 36% from the field and 45% from the free throw line. Not underappreciating lonzo, just keeping it real. :manny: he was the worst draft pick from last year, not including Thomas Bryant.

The biggest diff between the 2 is def

Lonzo was elite defensively & DLo is a matador
I believe Zo finished outside the top 70 in defensive rating so he wasn’t elite but I understand the point you’re making. But the Lakers already have an elite defensive system. Is Zo a part of that? Yeah. But they still played well on that end without him, hell there was a time where they covered up IT and was winning. It’s my belief that DLo, bringing a consistent outside threat both on and off the ball, would’ve done more their team because they didn’t have that at the 1. It killed the spacing for over half the games Zo played. He had like that one 13 game stretch where he came back that he was hitting but that’s about it

Plus he was rehabbing a knee injury most of the season and he still avg 16pts a game in 25 mins. Lakers fans know Lonzo Ball is azz and the Lakers are trying to unload him because the front office knows he's not going to amount to much.

Theres more to the game than scoring. Theres rebounding, assisting, defense etc... Lonzo is better than Russell at everything else so if he gets his shooting down, and I believe he will, he's the better player. Plus the way he carries himself is better as Russell carries himself as a superstar while not having the consistency of one...

Outside of scoring Zo is better at every facet of the game than Kyrie Irving.

If Kyrie came to the Lakers, who do you think is starting?

Who do you think the Lakers organization would rather have?

Um the Lakers would sacrifice all 3 Ball Brothers and Lavar for Kyrie.

Explain.

I'm not debating you. I simply want to see someone explain their logic for Kyrie > Zo, since Kyrie is only great at scoring, and Lonzo is great at passing, and good at rebounding, and is a superior defender to Kyrie.

I'm a big defensive fan too but the thing is Kyrie isn't just a better scorer, he's borderline elite. He can score from anywhere on the floor and he's a much better free throw shooter. Lonzo is not so good at defense that it negates his inability to score hence they brought in Rondo who can do everything Lonzo does and has low key worked on his jumpshot to the point where it's not a liability anymore.

You mean already better as a laker? Because Hart is a year older and getting hyped off of summer league play to compare him to dlo rn is borderline autistic.
