Change isn't always good you moron. Nothing wrong with experimenting...the problem occurs when the experimentation goes bad, like what happened with Yeezus.
maybe you need to get better headphones/speakers breh

Well... its true.
Im not saying that everyone who doesn't like Yeezus just "doesn't get it", but if you really think its THAT bad, you definitely dont get it.
Its not for everyone but if you know what he's going for Yeezus is, at worst, a rushed album.
This isn't a hip hop album though thats the thing. Lyricism doesn't really matter as long he brings the energy to match the production.
Punk Rock singers made a whole career out of jus bringing raw energy to the music.
breh Im a huge fan of Punk and imo the energy on Yeezus tops pretty much everything except maybe Damaged by Black FlagLOL, don't you dare compare this vapid, overproduced, pretentious stadium prog-rap to punk rock, ever, son

it sure feels like it![]()

The Dead Kennedys worst album is more energetic than Yeezus.
Their best album doesn't have the energy of Yeezus. Except Holiday In Cambodia. That shyt is harddddddd

I feel that tons of punk records are way more energetic than Yeezus. Kanye's rapping tones down the energy of the beats to me.I was just about to post about that from Rick Rubin, I'll do it anyway for people that haven't seen it.
He did say when he was in Paris, he was in art galleries taking inspiration from lamps lol.

No offense, but you're delusional. This album has nothing in common at all with punk. It is more similar to the progressive rock genre that punk partially reacted against than anything. Overproduced, needlessly complex and existing seemingly to show how talented the artist is. Yeezus is the 6 minute guitar solo, the symbol of a pampered artist in the upper echelons of society becoming bored with his own craft.
If anything, stuff like Chief Keef and GBE, with the simplistic, threatening lyrics, along with their amateurish videos and stripped down beats is a better correlation to punk.
