Drake is the top boy.
Kendrick's the critical darling.
Cole the peoples champ.

Big Sean...the guy everybody looks up to's little brother, a good kid, loves his mother.
Meek is Channing Tatum in 21 Jump Street when he went back to school and was shocked that times changed and everything was reversed.

perfect epic

1 - k dot is not trying to do arenas with his live band, his concerts sell out in minutes and are suited to halls

2 - drake is still the most "popular" rapper which amazes me as he's been exposed so many times and he's a Canadian cornball, that said, dude throws out garbage tracks that become anthems...he's winning

3 - k dot and cole round out the trifecta, sean had a good year, but he's not on their level yet, here's a reason he's owning for rihanna, not headlining his own tour

NaAaAa K. Dot ain't bigger than Drake...Is he better?? Yes!!

K. Dot is always gonna be a Grammy favorite, they tend to give awards to people that are saying shyt...and not just your the most popular. With all that said Drake is always be bigger because his music is more basic and popular. The fukking kid makes hits whether people like it or not. K. Dots music will never and should never have that crossover appeal.

What garbage became anthems?

Are these bullet points or a list?

Kendrick isn't doing arenas because he can't

Cole had a live band and so did Nicki

I think it's fair to say Kendrick is bigger for this very brief moment in time. He's gonna get coverage in every newspaper today and every show that would talk about the Grammys is gonna talk about him.

It's a small moment, but it's his.

Kendrick sells out his shows with plenty more wanting to attend, I've seen him pack pack out bigger outdoor venues as the headliner of festivals, if people weren't interested, 18,000 ppl wouldn't have stayed to see him. He can sell out an arena.

Right hand, hotline bling, the entire iyrtity

No he's not. Drake is the biggest mainstream Hip Hop artist of the New Generation. After him than maybe Kendrick or Cole...hard to determine. But yeah Top 3 of the New Gen is Drake, Kendrick and Cole. In terms of overall hip hop guys like Eminem and Kanye are bigger than all 3.

Festivals sell out regardless of the performer. This has been well documented.

No one would the popularity y'all claim Kendrick has released flop single after flop single and doesn't headline a huge rap tour

Right hand did nothing

Hotline bling was dope no one would call that trash

Energy and Know yourself are the only thing that became hits from IYRTITL

Never seen hate for those songs anywhere

Drake will always be the most popular as long as he's got songs that reach people and then he'll probably start fading himself out.

he knows how to move, everything is generally done on his terms and he doesn't overexpose himself to the point the general public are sick of him..it helps he's in on the joke and is goofy in a way that is likeable enough for the public.

its he's able to go from music to things like SNL to being all over All Star Weekend pretty much with ease.
you really need to be a hip-hop fan to how see polarizing he can be with certain crowds.

himself along with Cole and Kendrick are pretty much laying out the own blueprint for the next gen in their own terms.
the all round entertainer, the grassroots and the artist.

Right hand is big out here, so maybe I have a skewed view of that song, but it's on the radio twice an hour and gets play at parties

That's why I said iyrtity as a whole, that tape did numbers to be full of throwaways.

Secondly, I didn't say the festival sold out because of him, the whole fukking crowd stuck around and got bigger because of him. What songs from TPAB are single/radio friendly? That album wasn't sonically accessible in the current climate as far as being radio/club fare. I'm not going to keep speaking in hypotheticals since Kendrick hasn't done a big arena tour, but you're tripping if you think he can't get 15-18k people at his shows.
