I'm a nas stan but gkmc is better than any nas album released these last 4/5 years.

Disagree, I think all Nas's albums released during that time period are better.

Depends what you consider mainstream, Nas had had much better albums to me for instance.

Life Is Good was a very good album but GKMC has it beat in most aspects.

yeah I can't disagree...

Nas will always be one of the goat lyricists but Kendrick is a great rapper who knows how to make great album/music

Nas had the production perfected in 94-96 but then something just happened

All in all Illmatic, IWW, Stillmatic (take away a couple tracks), Lost Tapes all have great production and I would put over GKMC

And the production on GKMC wasn't flawless to me but it was pretty damn great

with that being said, kendrick is a great lyricist, he just isn't a technical lyricist with punchlines if that makes sense. (he used to be on his early shyt but you have to change your style when you go mainstream I guess)

It's definitely more consistent but there's too many classic tracks on Stillmatic that a lot of GKMC can't compete with

And Nas as a MC and songwriter dwarfs Kendrick especially back then.

Looking at GKMC can you name one song.that is worthy to enter top 100 hip hop songs of all time.

People talk about concept , which track in GKMC is more conceptual than fried chicken and project roach?


The boy have this West coast Resurrection hype which make him fukking overrated .
Before his new album dropped last year his stans where already calling it a classic SMFH

American gangster , HHID ,OBFCL part 2 , Graduation are all fukking better than TPAB which is a 4 star album at best

With the way i am seeing things now , nikka is certainly overrated

And IWW is the most overrated album in NaS discography , the source where right about its ratings back then ,it shouldn't go any higher than 4 stars
