Guys like McKie and Mutombo stepped up big in the playoffs scoring wise. Not to mention the team was great defensively. This narrative that Iverson did it alone needs to stop.

Iverson had no 2nd option.... so no

If Iverson had Kevin Love, Jr Smith and Kyle Korver caliber players he would have won more than 1 game in the finals

If you sub out 2001 Mutumbo for 2018 Kevin Love, the Sixers lose in the 2nd round while giving up 110 points a game

The Raptors :stopitslime:

And a Celtics team who's best player can't legally buy Vodka, missing two all stars.

The numbers have been legendary but in context the run isnt that impressive :yeshrug:

I think the 2001 Sixers run was more impressive, but not by a lot. They had to go through:

Indiana

-OLD Reggie Miller still averaged 31ppg in that series
-Prime Jalen Rose was hell
-Young Jermaine O'Neal

Toronto

-Prime Vince Carter averaging 30 ppg, while being Prime Vince Carter
-Alvin Williams (underrated around that time)
-Antonio Davis still averaged 17 & 10 along with old ass Oakley

Milwaukee

-Prime Ray Allen (no joke back then) 27 & 5
-Prime Glenn Robinson 20 & 6
-Sam Cassell 16p-5p-6a making big shots

All while having this roster:

It’s impressive this Cavs team is getting to the Finals but it wasn’t THAT impressive. All season we knew this team was getting there even when they were “struggling”. Nobody else had a chance.
nikka what:skip:? They went 7 games with 2 teams, but yet no one had a chance:skip:? Boston had them down by 12 at home, but they didn't have a chance:skip:?

One of those 50 win teams was missing its MVP caliber player that led them to 50 wins. I see the narrative being started already :hhh:
The same 50 win team that had a better record w/o him (not insinuating that they are better without him but just that they are still a 50 win level team without him). Kobetards set the standard at 50, I'm just trying to keep up :yeshrug:

Iverson went thru Miller, Rose, JO in round one then Vince Carter, then Ray Allen, Big dog, and Cassell. Bron went thru Oladipo, Mental midgets DD, Lowry, and a team missing 2 best players. Iverson had 0 offensive help. This shyts hate of iverson is insane
Really fam:skip:?
