A lot of intangibles (ease of schedule, league trends, conference, Piston/Mark Cuban rules, etc.).

I definitely think Lebron is sustaining his prime at a rate similar to Jordan.

I still have never seen a better scorer than prime Kobe though. Dude was bound to go off for something special any night and you could at least expect 23 points because dude had nobody to pass it to.

It's kind of like a Shaq/Hakeem vs Kareem comparison. I need to win this year, maybe go for a 3 peat: Kobe/Hakeem/Shaq/Dirk (not necessarily by position). Long term dynasty competitive every year: Kareem/Magic/Jordan/Lebron/Duncan.

Pop even had to tell his players to :whoa::
MJ was a better scorer than prime Kobe. Kobe took a bunch of wild shots so those streaks where he was on, he was great, but there are way more peaks and valleys.

That's what separates MJ and Kobe. Kobe was probably just as skilled as MJ but 1) He was never as good of an athlete, and 2) MJ's approach to scoring was a bazillion times better than Kobe's. That's why he was shooting 54% in his prime despite playing 1-on-5 all game

I agree with you about MJ's approach being better but that 54% FG is also a product of its era.

LeBron is really criminally underrated in these regards especially nowadays...

:mjlol: Walking Bron Bron or the Bron who couldn't post a Smaller guard in Miami finals against Spurs

Stop it

and how is that knock on Lebron? :mjlol:

Who said it was? Lebron a legend but he not elite at scoring like Kobe or MJ that's a amazing list of players up there

You a clown. Detroit had 3 defenders on Kobe on most plays. That's why LA lost because he refused to pass. Boston would double and triple team Kobe over and over in 2008 and 2010. LeBron wasn't making the Finals back then so you probably didn't watch.
Yet James played better against Boston than Kobe did :patrice:

hell nah :russ: dude is just good at taking up space like shaq did
and with todays rules (which doesnt really effect that much with his game)
how are you supposed to stop a bulldozer when you cant handcheck?

even with handchecking I think he would put up similar numbers
but he has no moves and alot of those points were put up on this new traveling bullshyt

completely different game now I try not to compare anymore ...put him in a few decades ago and he barely gets a shot off

Yes, dudes efficiency over the past decade is actually insane, and while he doesn't have the grace of an MJ or Kobe, dude basketball IQ, mastery of spacing and his ability to work and score inside, make him able to take high % shots more often then not.

Who the hell said that Kobe wasn't double-teamed by Boston?

You said it right here, smart one.

Ain't no one ever guarding Kobe like that. :dead:

Now you backtracking. First its....Nobody double teamed Kobe Bryant. Five seconds later. Of course people double teamed Kobe Bryant.

Shut up nikka.

Dude was shooting 55% on twos when the average was 49%, and the game wasn't as perimeter oriented as it is now.
In the 80's a high volume scorer shooting 50% wasn't out the norm. Entire teams shot 50% in the 80's. There were no zones, less athletic players, awful transition defense, higher pace, more FT attempts leaguewide.

LBJ, Melo, Kobe, Durant, etc. would put up better %'s then.
