There has already been a big thread debating this subject before. And i said it then and i'll say it now. While it's not a classic it's a damn good album and almost every track on their is strong. And its still aite today if you listen to it.

Make a comparison yourself bruh. Compare HFM to ANY album released by a similar artist, so tht goes for Jadakiss, Fabolous, Juelz, Cassidy, and numerous other artists from the past or present. Nobody has anything that could come close to HFM. That does not necessarily mean its a hip hop classic, but it should be acknowleged that Banks put out better work than nikkas that are considered legends.

Im not doubting that its a good album..

I myself have never been a fan of Banks to be honest.. And to take it a step further none of those guys you listed have released what I would consider a good album.. Most of them average to whack..

My thing is calling it a classic.. When I listened to it I considered it average at best.. I remember initial reactions to it when it came out were that it was average, nothing special.. All them nikkas you listed were known for their verses, not songs... And def not albums..

U aint even on no hater shyt, but this is a damn lie my nikka. Line for line, HFM can compete with any mixtape from Banks or anybody else in that era. Yall nikkas are crazy, the quotables are unlimited, he rode every beat differently, the production was great, and most importantly, the nikka was energetic through the whole album.

Nah man....nah....compare 'Banks Workout 1' or any of those from 'Money In the Bank', 'Victory', to the lines on 'Ain't No Click' which my boys and I rode out to every fukking day almost, the lines are just a little uninspired, he had some moments on the albums, but nothing like the tapes.

'guns like popeyes arm'

'banging when jaws was a goldfish'

'say Banks in ya verse betta be talking about tower'

'bounce like ass in my video'

I noticed it then, but the production was strong enough to carry it further then some of the throwaway lines and verses...

These nikkas wanna see me cuz of the way I shine
but it aint that easy to get mine
You get your ass layed down

Funny how the world revolves around my click
Cuz just a year ago a nikka ain't have shyt
Me and my right hand shared the same outfit
Which fueled the fire that i aired the game out wit
It's amazing how the boy came out quick
For that platinum nikkas blow your brain out shiit
I'm the new nikka the others can't stand
The rubberman, be gotdamned if I can't
Let another nikka fill my spot
If a nikka steal from me its the steel I pop
I'm on my grind
So if you thought I'd chill I'm not
Stop letting that steering wheel peel the block

Gunit :ohlawd:

You ain't gotta practice gymnastics to catch a body

As soon as you ain't around jake
You get your ass whipped for chips
Now thats the real definition of pound cake

album is def a personal classic to pretty much anybody in high school at that time, I wouldnt go all out and call it a classic on the level as grodt, or tm101 but it was a great album.

Big supporter of g-unit and i wish this was true but it's not. Love the mixtapes though

Which debut weren't you fukking with? I thought they were all heat, G Unit didn't seem to lose their steam until Mobb dropped a 3/5 in my opinion, and even then Rotten Apple is a 3.5/5 and Buck The World is a solid 4/5 as well.

GRODT - 5/5
BFM - 4/5
HFM - 4/5
SOC - 4/5
Documentary - 4.5/5
TOAPF - 4/5 (I know a lot of people hated on Yayo's debut but I thought it was solid, production and features were on point, and Yayo as a goon rapper is unfairly hated on in my opinion)

Imma put it like this. When my kid is getting into Hip-Hop from my youth and he asks me to put him on G-Unit I'll tell him this, GRODT, Documentary, and Cashville are albums you have to hear.
