Mahomes is going to pass Rodgers and Staubach if he gets another ring this year. He gets a 3rd ring he'll be better than Manning and Marino. I put Marino that high because of the era he was in. He threw 5,000 yards at a time you could clothesline and horsecollar tackle people, with no serious threats at receiver. He's not number 1, because winning means something, but pure talent and stats, 2 of my 3 stats he is amongst the best. I can't go earlier than 90-91 with Marino because I was a kid, so correct me if I'm wrong here.
I say Mahomes can pass Marino and Manning because Marino didn't win anything and Manning would often disappear in the playoffs and 1 of his 2 superbowl victories he disappeared. Mahomes never seems to disappear, even when they lose Mahomes will be throwing shyt at the wall to see if it sticks. That says something to me.
If Mahomes has 10 years of this level of play and 3 rings, I'll put him above Montana. I can put him above Montana because as great as Kelce is, he's no Jerry Rice. And knowing Andy Reid, he's not really going to go out of his way to get him superstar talent at receiver or running back.
Have to wait to see how his whole career pans out to see where he lands compared to Brady, but he has that trajectory to be great than Brady especially at this point in his career.
He also has Andy Reid, who seems to know how maximize a quarterbacks talent. Made Garcia and Smith formidable. McNabb was great his first 5 years, and competitive his last 5 under Reid. Vick actually became a pass first, run second, borderline MVP in 2010 under Reid. Got to the playoffs with AJ Feeley. Say nothing about Farve. And Mahomes is arguably; no argument really; the most talented he's ever work with.
