You're suggesting blacks make better music because of "all the pain and suffering" and because they have more to complain about? :pachaha:

Or Maybe black folks are musically talented
Are you a fukking moron? Of course pain and suffering will make better music. Just go look at the early beach boy albums, there is absolutely no substance to them and they're just talking about girls and surfing. Once Brian Wilson went through his insanity/depression they started making incredible albums like Pet Sounds. Humans in general are musically talented. It's the experiences that the humans go through that change the outcome of the music they create. If I haven't gone through any trials or tribulations in my life, what the hell am I going to talk about in a song? Chill the fukk out breh, you're getting emotional like a female over nothing.

I'm very selective too. And I agree, it seems rock bands come out with like 1 or 2 classic albums and then all the rest are kinda :ehh:

with Pink Floyd, just to see if you like them, I'd start with Dark Side of the Moon. The album is fukking :mindblown: I haven't really listened to much of their other stuff though.

Smashing pumpkins and weezer are the shyt.

You might also like Led Zeppelin, this is one of my favorite songs of theirs(they're one of the more consistent bands).

I also like the more psychedelic Beatles albums like Revolver

What's Going On, Lets Get It On, I Want You and Here, My Dear are all classics IMO and they were all released back to back. I haven't went earlier than What's Going On but Marvin is definitely up there with just those four alone. Rick James is criminally underrated outside of Street Songs, he has at least five good to great albums. Gil-Scott Heron I'm just now starting to get into this year. Winter In America has become one of my favorite albums. Pieces of a Man by him is good too but it had to grow on me. Stevie I'm getting into now, just bought Songs in the Key of Life on vinyl a month or so ago. Listening to Talking Book right now, next up is Isaac Hayes.

I honestly believe people sleep on Ray Charles, THAT man was a pioneer, trailblazer, and absolute genius in awe inspiring fashion.

"Ray Charles is the only true Genius in Show business"-Frank Sinatra:whew:

Yeah, one day about 7 months ago my mom was in the kitchen cooking and had on her best of Ray Charles cd and it just really hit me just how great he was. Of course I've seen the movie and heard quite a few of his songs but for some reason it just hit me that day just how great Ray Charles was.
