Is he prime Brady or Breeze or even among the elite of his position? NO. But there are far worst QBs in the league than him. Dude is at least top 10 and you could even arggue top 6 or 7.

Ryan is far from Trash. He's just not one of them elite QBs even tho he's paid like one. But Falcons fans are no different than most fans but i'll admit being a non-Falcon fan living in Atlanta it's hilarious to watchFailcon fans trying to blame the o coordinator acting like ryan wasn't trash before
They used to want Kyle SHanahan's head before the SuperBowl run year. Every monday morning on the radio they wanted to behead the OC. He adjusted the next year and they balled and the fans never mentioned him again. Not even a half praise his way. Then came the SB gaffe and they wanted his head again
Same with Sarkisian (sp) so far. They wanted his head after almost every game. I'm gonna guess in year 2 and with a new 1st round WR to add they'll be putting up 45-50 points again every sunday and it'll be all good...until he cost them a playoff or SB game.
Dolphins fans used to be the same way about one Norv Turner when we had Ricky Williams but our QB (Fiedler) was trash tho but Norv still got shytted on

Because falcons fans will blame everyone but Matt Ryan for the teams failures.
And can you say for sure he's not trash? He's had weapons his whole career, it took till year 5 for him to help win the first playoff game ( in which they still almost blew)
Add to the fact qb numbers are inflated, to make it look like these dudes are all world, So the one thing Falcon fans still cling to ( the numbers) those aren't even accurate.
Until Matt Ryan out there working with a bunch of no names, he's trash. If he can't win a ship with what he has been gifted his whole career, he'll never win one; he's not that dude

Let's be honest outside of the elite QBs (Brady, Rodgers, Breeze) every GM triees to keep their QBs surrounded by talent because great/Elite QBs are so rare in the sport that if you bring in a rookie QB and dont give him a talented WR corp to throw to he's likely gonna be fukked up in his head for the rest of his career. So every GM tries to surround their new QB with either a beast running game that alleviates pressure or a decent group of receivers and tight ends to at least give him confidence to start with. It's like a shooter in the NBA. He NEEDS to see that ball go in to regain his confidence when he's in a bad slump. Or else he start questioning his mechanics and all.
But no while i say he's not elite i wouldnt call him trash either. There are probably 6 QBs id pick over Ryan in the league right now and maybe 10 if i'm going by who i like and not that they are necessarily better
I'm going to say this ( me personally, I agree and I understand it's a team game) So I understand. My arguments against Ryan are geared more towards Falcon fans, because like I said, They will blame everyone but him. I mean here the Falcons have a new coaching staff, and they'll get blamed for things that were going on way before they even got here. They pick and choose when he's a leader, and when he's a victim, he shouldn't be getting that money, and right now he's currently the 5th best player on the team
