Is Mighty Healthy a GOAT hip hop record contender?

If I ran into a secluded tribe somewhere, that had never heard of hip hop music, and in their curiosity, asked me to play one record, that perfectly captures the essence of hip hop music and culture, this is the record I'd play for them

I went crazy when I first heard it. Math best beat ever. The Kung Fu opening (killing and killing...he sort of develops a taste for blood!)...the Sylvers and Melvin Bliss samples...Ghost channeling Sir Ibu (shake that body, paaarty that boooody...don't fvck with Ghost, you'll feel sorry...)...this song is a bytch with a pretty face and phat ass to a real Hip Hop fan's ears.

There's waaaaaaay too many great Hip Hop tracks for me to try to determine which ones I would consider greatest though. Waaaaaaaaaaay too many.

It makes me feel like I'm at a park jam in '79, with a nikka rhymin like it's 2079

The way the beat feels like it's gonna go off the rails any minute

The dirty scratches to catch the beat

Ghosts presence on the track..

There's probably songs that are sonically, musically, and lyrically more impressive

But It just captures that feeling perfectly for me, breh

I think One and Malcolm are the best songs on Supreme Clientele

But Mighty Healthy is still a 10/10 song for me. That second verse is excellent

Ironman is way better than s.c.

Ironman doesn't get the same respect as SC because back when Ironman came out, we had already heard like 60% of the album on mixtapes

The album felt more like a compilation of the dopest Wu mixtape cuts from the past 2 years IMO

Over time, I've begun to appreciate it for the body of work that it is though

I like Ironman better than Supreme Clientele because obviously it was apart of Wu-Tang's prime and has RZA's 2nd best production performance on an album. The soul beats are classic.

S/O to True Master for "Fish" though. One of my favorite cuts on the album.
