I over stepped with Just Blaze, but this list has hits from producers with higher peaks. Based on the threadstarters criteria each of these guys had better runs than Mike Will. On top of that, this list only scratches the surface of these guys respective runs.

:childplease:
better than all these nyggas
more diverse and more hits

if u talking super mainstream
he aint there yet
I thought we talking hiphop
u listing Mariah & Mario & Ricky Martin
He hasnt had the chance to work with artist big enough to have #1 singles

The OP mentioned radio hits and Mike Will having a Pop hit on the radio now. I don't think the OP limited this to just Hip Hop, but rather Hip Hop producers who had a string of hits regardless of genre.

In regard to him not having the chance to work with a big enough artist, Storch produced Chris Brown's breakthrough. Lil' Jon gave Ciara her breakthrough record. Jermaine Dupri produced the record that established Usher in the mainstream after his debut under performed. So it's not really a matter of the artist being big enough.

This is the kind of post that gets respect in a thread like this. Those other ppl earlier talkin about he's not talented and comparing him to Jahlil Beats and shyt :dahell:. Nah Mike Will run isnt top 5 but it sure is impressive, dude really is killing it right now. Another thing is, these artist/producers infiltrated when hiphop was at it's peak, everything was selling like hotcakes, while now hiphop is kind of on a downswing in the mainstream.

the fact that i couldnt name a single song he has made makes me think.... err no..
Is this a joke or have you really not been outside for two years? :what:

Y'all can hate all you want but you can't deny his run.

Turn on the Lights?
Tupac Back?
Bandz a Make Her Dance?
Mercy?
Pour It Up?
No Lie?
Bugatti?
Show Out?
We Still in This bytch?
Love Me?

That's ten HITS. Not just some singles that get radio play once a week. Every one of those songs had the mainstream on smash when they dropped, and some of them still do. I won't go as far as "top 5 run" in history, but he's undeniably the hottest producer out right now. What other producer in the past two years has had that many hit singles? Even Lex Luger only has maybe 5.

And stop all this "No one knows who he is outside of the internet" bullshyt. EVERYONE who goes to clubs or listens to hip-hop radio will recognize that "Mike Will Made It" tag. People know who he is.

So to answer the OP question, no it's not a top 5 run in history. But it is the greatest run in the past two years.

lot of songs on that list were not hits

If that's the case, a lot of Mike Will productions labeled "hits" aren't hits. A lot of those songs peaked between 50-80 on the charts ("Neva End", "We Still In This", "Show Out", "Turn Off The Lights", "Kisses Down Low").

I don't know about top 5 all time but easily top 5 of this current generation of Producers...

Dude had 2012 sewed and its looking to be that way this year again.

He is obviously the go to dude in rap now, the question is how long will his run last. I like his beats though for the most part and he has shown some versatility because it was about 5 beats that I had no clue were his until after the fact

I will say this: Mike Will's run is the best we've seen from this new crop of producers (producers that have impacted since 2010). T-Minus is arguable, but the rest are far behind. Kane Beatz, who's also arguable, had nice start, but after 2011, he hasn't been as consistent with the hits. The stuff he was doing for YMCMB, Lupe Fiasco, and Trey Songz was huge. Dude gave Lupe his biggest hit, but hasn't really had a huge hit since except "Super Bass".
