There's ur answer. U live in fukkin oklahoma bro. No offense. Nas being in GOAT conversations is DEF not an Internet thing. He was in those conversations before Jay was.
was having a hip hop discussion with my barber a while back and told him imo nas was the greatest of all time. he hit me with the "nas?
I been talking to some dudes about rap and I was talking about my favorite rapper being Nas and that I believe that he deserves to be mentioned as a legend in the game. As soon as I say that shyt everybody I have talked to about it looks at meand now alot of these people got me by about 20+ years so I'm just genuinely curious about this. People will bring up Pac as a great artist but then when I say Nas is a great artist they look at me crazy.
While I was born in the 90s I wasn't really allowed to listen to much rap when I was younger because my parents really didn't care for the genre and its vulgarity. So alot of my taste has been developed after the fact. I know that different regions have different tastes (I live in Oklahoma) so I know that has some bearing on the answers I was given.
i mean he's cool and all but..."
i got up, paid for my cut and left smhI Ain't heard a nas song in the radio since i can.this is a pure bullshyt lie right here.

why am I not able to neg the threadstarter here????![]()

There's ur answer bro. They have a couple popular 80s nikkas from NY cause in the 80s NY ran shyt. If u was into hip hop u fukked wit NY. But in the 90s is when regionalism hit an all time high. So the shyt spread out more. Especially when it comes to casual hip hop fans. But if u ever got sat in the room with some legit hip hop fans he's always gonna come up. U don't get the accolades and career Nas has had from Internet fame.None taken most of the ones I talked to had a more southern and west coast influence with Rakim and LL Cool J thrown in there.
