again: nintendo is NOT involved in the production of those games. their input isn't as big as you think it is, and considering the last one is the best selling game ever on a nintendo platform, i don't think they are necessarily displeased with how gf generally handles the IP.

and don't get me wrong: i think those games look and run terribly, but the pokemon fandom has gone off the deep end in recent years and spreads all kinds of fud nowadays that only aggregates people more

personally, i expect future games to improve anyway since gf is prob well aware that this shyt spreads across social media and just isn't a good look. but again, this isn't on nintendo at all, as much as you'd like to believe it

But that's whats being pushed to the forefront. Most of the games that have some complexity to them are in probably indie games. Also it's a lot of franchises that weren't dumbed down before but regressed over time. Alot of people have been lost in the sauce due to psuedo brand loyalty.

No. That's what they like. The companies are only reacting to the analytics. If ppl wanted to buy games that were more engaging mentally then it would show up in the sales.

Part of it is on the consumer. The ones who feel like the games are dumbed down are in the minority. Why would I listen to 100,000 ppl who not gon spend money complaining about the game, talking about "innovation" and allat, when it's 1,000,000 who gon cop no questions asked?

nowadays they make games COMPLETED out the box. no bugs, no glitches, no need for massive updates. they also don't have shyt tons of DLC

EA started selling players in games that come out every year, and retards out there keep buying FIFA and Madden.
