Exactly its not supposed to be huge pieces of onions that you bite into.. Its just how some cook so it will have onions in cooking process and you wont even know it.

Why the fukk would you use red onions though? If anything you might use white or yellow onions to get some flavor in the oil before the rest of the ingredients, and they need to be chopped very fine, not big ol chunks that take away from the fukking dish itself.
