R&B took a heavy shift towards profanity and drug use after the success of The Weeknd/House of Balloons.

Which is terrible for black music in itself. RnB was supposed to be something that is clean from cuss words and you could play in front of your family and friends without worry. Nowadays, you gotta be and change radio stations when a Chris Brown song suddenly pops up when your moms or young kids around.

For generations, RnB was the safe ground for family cookouts and friendly gatherings for all age groups. Now modern music made by ratchet black folks even taking those moments away from us.
