I don't wanna hear this shyt at all....The excuses Kerr and a lot of the media even trying to put that in people's head is the weakest shyt ever. I turn on Sportscenter & Mike Wilbon and he basically eluded this by saying Steph isn't playing like himself. How about they finally playing a team that isn't hurt and isn't soft enough to let them shoot 3s all over the court and do their Globetrotter passes?

If it was the other way around & Warriors was up 3-1 and Curry was dropping 30+ while Durant and/or Westbrook were playing bad as they are there wouldn't be any questions about "what's wrong with them?" They would be killing Westbrook and telling Durant to jump on the first thing outta OKC.

The media tried to make Curry the NBA darling but it was premature:sas1:
He's a good player and a great shooter but that's where it stops. It's OK to be Dirk or Billups, everybody can't be Kobe, Shaq, LeBron, Wade, MJ:yeshrug:

The excuses have to stop though....OKC is the better team and outplaying them.

Yes. His feelings/ego/pride is hurt after Russ snatched his soul in back to back games and is on his way to being anointed the best PG in the game, while simultaneously rendering Curry's historic season null and void. :youngsabo::russ:

I don't think Curry is overrated. It's actually scary to think how much better he would be if he hadn't battled injuries half of his career. I think it's his teammates that are overrated, not Curry himself. Contrary to popular belief, he is the only superstar on that team.

The problem is they are going up against a team with two MVP caliber players on it. Hell, you could even argue two top 5 players. It's essentially one superstar versus two.

Dawg, ESPN has to run with that narrative....otherwise they would look like fools for how they over-saturated us with the Golden State coverage for the entire season.

Make no mistake....what they accomplished as a team this season was great, and Steph had a phenomenal year, but ESPN went WAY over the top with it.

So now they're just trying to cover their asses.

I don't understand the backlash to this - he sprained his MCL a few weeks ago and has missed half of his teams postseason games. There's legitimate reason to believe he's hampered by something and it makes 0 sense to say "If KD/WB were like this ppl wouldn't be saying this" when they haven't been in this situation.

That being said, Steve Kerr made 0 excuses for him saying that he just had an off game and if you look at the shots he missed last night, they were mostly great looks that he just has to hit. I'm not really giving him a pass for it personally

Its ok to be Dirk? He's one of the 25 greatest ever lol

Billups is straight disrespect

He's overrated as in being the best player in the league and stop it with the one superstar vs two shyt...people were saying Draymond was a top 10 player in the league. Klay is probably their best player, at least he plays good 1 on 1 defense.

I don't want hear about nothing about no MCL sprain, if he was hitting his 3s and they were winning you wouldn't bring it up. Kerr said Curry wasn't injured on purpose because no one even asked him about it.

I said that it was OK to be Billups & Dirk because they both have 1 championship...come to think of it they both won Finals MVP..something Curry didn't do!

You're missing the point - I said there's reason for people to believe he isn't 100% because he's suffered injuries in the middle of the postseason. People aren't pulling that out of thin air as an excuse. I already referenced Kerr's quote and I agree with him that he just had a bad night.

Karl Malone and Charles Barkley have zero championships and they're some of the greatest ever dead or alive. Oscar Robinson would have zero championships if he didn't tag team with a young Kareem. Julius Erving would have zero championships if the Sixers didn't get Moses Malone. Kevin Garnett would have zero championships if he didn't hunt for a ring with the Celtics. Titles are just a bad way to assess individual player greatness

Nobody is 100% in the playoffs. When people brought up injuries against the teams they played last year they were offended that was even brought up. I don't care about who would have or don't have championships. Damn near all season it was a pre gone conclusion that they were gonna win the title again. I brought up MJ, Lebron, Kobe, because they know how hard it is to win titles back to back. You don't win a championship because ESPN sings your praises

25 games with Pierce only playing 47 and no Ray Allen who they traded for days before KG got there. Boston didn't appear to be a winning situation, but once they made the Ray trade you better believe he was alright with going there. Flip admitted he didn't want to stay with the Wolves through a rebuilding phase

I'm NOT saying him going to a better situation is a knock against him or anything, and my point is that a top 5 power forward ever has zero rings (Like Karl & Chuck) if he doesn't find himself in a better situation. So ranking players by hardware is a bad method
