Is Steph Curry on his way to passing up Zeke & Stockton & being the 2nd best PG after Magic?

:mjcry: Damn shame D-Rose got hurt, he should be in the convo with Curry & Russ as the best PG rivalries. Curry has broken every PG narrative there has been so far. Nobody thought a shoot 1st PG could win MVP or a title, he did both. He wasn't even supposed to be this good, look at who passed him over in the draft and most thought at best he could be an All Star, and he has shattered it all. He went to a teribbly ran Warriors franchise and has made them the bandwagon central for casuals. He definitely is heading towards that path, shyt he already a Hall of Famer in my book, he just did something you weren't supposed to do in the NBA and he barely in his prime.

:patrice:

I get what you sayin about the title though... I still think its funny that after all that progress for the position, Iggy still goes down in history as the MVP...The voters finally decide to care about defense and intangibles at an odd time...

I've been running this campaign for the last five seasons, at least. I remember on SOHH, just about everyone was looking at me sideways when I said that score-first PGs were the next step in evolution.

:snoop: Can't believe I forgot Rose won MVP for a second. Iggy deserved it though, he held Bron under 40% when he guarded him and put up nice stats on offense too. Curry's presence made it happen for Iggy, especially when the Cavs put Mozgov on Iggy. Curry had the game when everyone was saying he got clowned on by Delly on everyone's minds, but Steph made the whole offense go. :ld: Curry got his MVP and a ring, he genuinely seems to have that "I really care about my teammates feeling good" mentality that Magic/Duncan had, everyone will remember Curry being the best player on the team.

I also said I don't want that from people under 6'2"

Unfiled! :blessed:

We discriminating against players under 6'2" now bruh.

A certain 6'6 shooting gaurd hs that intangible quality that a certain 6'8 SF doesnt :sas2:

To the subject, I think the game has changed so its tough to "choose" stockton or curry over one another... But in terms of actual impact I am leaning towards curry because his handling and shooting ability has changed the game... Teams are as we speak planning ways to counter dude and a past first PG never needs to be "countered".

That being said I think CP3 is incredible and is making the strides necessary. I like what you said about him being more aggressive. Whenever he is in attack mode, coupled with his incredible passing, he is the most dangerous offensive player bar none IMO. If he comes back next season pulling up 3 straight possessions off the screen, forcing teams to overreact, he will be the MVP .

Except for the fact the 6'8" SF has a higher playoff scoring average :francis:

I agree with the first part, but CP3 isn't the most dangerous offensive player to me, mainly because the odds of him getting 40 in a must win game are just so low, because of his mindset. You can try and draw parallels to Bron, but we've seen him throw the passing shyt to the side when it's been needed, where as with Paul there's never been a time I felt he's coming out to score and just ice the other team.

The silly thing is Iggy didn't even come close to stopping LeBron...

How you the MVP when the guy you're checking is the first in NBA history to lead the Finals in points, rebounds and assists?

I legit think it was a media payback for Riley Curry...

He did 'stop' him when he was guarding him. Problem was, LeBron's usage rate was at an all-time high (between 40-44% for the entire series - the most in Finals history since it was first recorded) - that it only made mathematical sense he'd lead the Finals in points, assists and rebounds, because the next highest player's [Curry] usage rate was 10-14% lower.

Iggy won because he killed the media's superhero, not to mention the Warriors went 3-0 to end the series when he was brought into the starting lineup.

Now that you broke it down like that Iggy is the Warriors MVP

Look at their height. You can't have them playing 2 guard (russy the exception) they would get ate up on defense.

Imagine curry trying to guard wade, harden, kobe, etc... They play like SG's, but their heights make them PGs
You sir. .. you get it.. I been screaming this since :hamster: days and these same nikkaz would argue the point. . They are just too short to be SG..
