Is The Coli the only safe space for Black Men online?

It’s pretty safe compared to the rest of the internet. For instance if I stay on Reddit too long I start seeing blatant racism, where as on thecoli, I don’t really see that too much.

TLR is just too negative with the topics it decides to discuss day in and day out.

Oh and I’m pretty sure this board is like 70-80% black, which is absolutely higher than the average.

Coli is a safe space for nikkas like this to call people they dont like rapist,indians and cacs without consequence. Not something he would feel safe doing in real life. So i commend thecoli for creating a safe space for young men like this. I tell you the truth when I say these are the types who need it the most. Otherwise they'd be hanging from a cieling somewhere. If not that just somewhere full of anger,probably taking it out on their black peers.


But overall being safe isnt what makes thecoli great. Its just that we are the most intelligent and diverse collection of black men on the internet. And the best part is that we are the least c00nish and Europeanized. You arent allowed to go down the rabbit hole of c00ning. I think on other sites you would have people cosigning alot of the c00n stuff said on here. We keep each other in check and dont allow it to compound.

With respect to this site being a safe space for black men, I think it is. I think posters are mad sensitive and don’t understand that shyt talking is just part of the culture. For me, I don’t take it personal. I engage in it, have a little beef, move on, then forget about it.

I think we also need to make a distinction between serious and light-hearted thread topics.

Something serious to me is if a non-troll poster makes a thread and says “hey, I’m a having a mental health crisis right now and need help” or “I’m battling depression” or “I got this issue I’m dealing with, help me navigate it”, I think it’s those threads that makes the Coli a safe space because that’s when you see the serious side of posters willing to support, listen, offer advice, and help.
