As an 80s baby... I grew up with Pac, Biggie, Naughty by Nature, Jay Z, Nas...Bone Thugs etc....

One thing that remains constant is that during my youth, being on the east coast listening to Hot 97.1 seven days a week...thru the 90's.. I felt radio truly reflected my world and mindset.. from dancehall to hip hop..

Where r we now???

This guy started making so much money dancing and flossing that a lot of rappers moved over to the bragging in rhymes full time. Rappers always bragged but they would have a few songs of substance on the album.

And that's just the music....think of the hip hop related TV shows and movies from that era..anything from Def Comedy Jam to Living SIngle...on any given night Monday through Sunday, TV, radio, movies...somethin was poppin :wow:

I fell off Hot 97 when Star & Buckwild got booted...today it's just a circle jerk of Fetti Wop, Drake and Future :francis:
