Is The Rock an A-list actor?

I think its fair to say dude is A-List for an action star.

Its just not exactly right to compare him to the Clooneys, Leo, JGL's, Goslings, or etc when they aint making movies like him. They do more thriller drama type shyt

Rock kinda in the same lane as Vin Diesel, Statham, Jet Li, and a few others, but then again he did make movies like Walking Tall and Gridiron Gang that kinda showed a different set of skills.

Is he as big as Will, Denzel, Sam L, Johny Depp, T. Cruise, M. Damon, Crowe? No...... but I'd say he is bigger than Chris Evans, the guy that plays Thor (Chris H and his brother) possibly Channing Tatum, the Clash of the Titans guy, Idris Elba, and a long list of other guys that have been dropping movies and Hollywood is trying to make A-List (Bradley Cooper).

Hell I think a case can be made that at this point he's a bigger star than cats like Travolta, Nick Cage, Clive Owens, and maaaayyyyyvvbeee Bruce Willis. And not trying hate on the GOAT B. Willis, but on the low this dude kinda been either a supporting character in a lot of movies or been in some straight to dvd films like:

He's definitely not bigger than Bruce. Bruce can make all those shyt movies he wants, but as long as has that Die Hard franchise and comes out with the occasional role like Hardigan in Sin City he's good.

The Scorpion King cost $60 million to make and brought in $165 million.

Gosling did Drive which was a pretty good movie IMO.

For a low budget movie it did really good numbers ($15 mill to make and brought in $77 mill).

But no Ryan Gosling is not an A-List actor by most definitions.

Would I list Dewey above Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington or Will Smith(who are bankable true A-list actors btw)? Hell no. The Rock's comfortable in his lane making action movies and Disney movies. I'd say he's either a low tier A-lister(because people know who he is) or high B-lister.

Fast 6 alone will rake in over $500-$600M worldwide. The Fast series was always successful but The Rock has made it into one of the highest grossing franchises out there.
