Its not that I dont like open world games, its that I dont like the lazy cookie cutter design of open world games currently.

The design has limitless potential and all devs can do is create check lists and have you travel from 1 side of the map to the next to do missions to artificially pad the length of time playing so gamers feel theyre getting more for their purchase. Its just a big huge time sink and I always get bored halfway through. Its bad game design to me :yeshrug: creating a well paced campaign takes skill, and its lost on most current open world games.

That said,I just bought witcher 3 this week since it was on sale.

I started playing witcher 2 a couple weeks ago on 360,its alright but nothing amazing. Its very dated gameplay and graphics wise so Im not sure if Im going to finish it.

I'll see how I like 3 but shyt better be on point for all the praise bestowed upon it
I loved Witcher 2, but Witcher 3 is so much better. Hopefully it'll restore your faith in open-world RPGs. It's so good. :wow: the combat is iffy, but better than Bethesda games. So just be prepared for that.

Not what I asked. Does. It . Have. A . Story? I only play games for story or competition.

It has a story, you have to piece it together by examining item descriptions and the environment. It's subtle but its there and when you put it together its far more rewarding than any game that spouts exposition in your face.

Saying Bloodborne doesnt have a story is like saying half life doesnt have a story. You didnt pick up on it if you dont think its there.

Btw have you played Undertale? Its on sale its only $8 and has one of the best stories ive ever seen in a game. Up there with Silent Hill 2. Just came out this year and if you want a really good story go for that.

Thank you for that clear answer. Is the main character well written?
