Tell me few setting tweaks to improve a battery life ( FYI I already keep all non essential shyt off and screen brightness at its lowest)

Tell me setting tweaks to stop 5 sec lag on my camera

Tell me setting tweaks to stop bluetooth straight freezing my phone

All the answers I'm hearing in here are "go get a better phone"

So I need to change my phone every 18 months in order have a working phone

Exactly. The level of comprehension in these kinds of threads falls off a cliff after a few posts.

The iPhone is a better end user device with a better end user experience than Android phones. This is because unless you Jailbreak it the end user experience on all iPhones is pretty much the same.

I can take my iPhone off the charger at 9AM and at 9PM I've still got 30%-40% battery life left and that's leaving location services, wifi, and Bluetooth on all day and over 3 hours on screen on time. If I take my Galaxy S6 off the charger at 9AM by 1PM I'm putting it on the car charger just to make it through the day. When the phone is in standby it's still draining the battery at an alarming rate. I'm constantly turning on location when I need it and turning it off with I don't same with Bluetooth and wifi. I'm not really interested in micromanaging the phone on that level of turning features on and off and rooting so I can use Greenify and Wakelock detector and police the damn thing to stop some rogue app from draining my battery.

Android requires all this micromanagement that's a total putoff. with the iPhone you just use it, it works and it last all day easily.
Windows phone is the same btw

How are you gonna dismiss what he said if you don't have the same device?

:skip: Well that's part the problem isn't it? You still have a Galaxy S3 in 2015. Samsung isn't even supporting that phone anymore. So of course you ain't getting updates to fix the bugs. You should've been moved onto to a newer phone.

:comeon:

I have an EVO LTE, my wife still has an S3...with all due respect, these phones are old as hell and if you haven't reset it since you got it chances are it's bogged down just from time/lack of storage.

I reset it all the time, I keep very few apps and this is done on purpose like I said in my first post as of right now I have 5.89 gigs available (out of 16) of internal storage available and 1.29 (out of 2) of SD storage

So it's not a storage issue and I understand that the phone is old but these aren't cars keep in mind I'm not saying 5 years from now the phone should be smooth how are these issues popping up half a year after release

Forget all the app issues how does the battery get worse almost out the box, and yes I have gotten a new battery

Like others have said most of us here aren't new to tech or phones but I can't make excuses any more for major short comings in the OS

Lollipop made my opo buggy as fukk :camby:

It destroyed my battery life and car connectivity. Wouldn't show the metadata for my music or let me control the tracks from the steering wheel. Was a good phone (especially for the price) before that update. Opo will never get another dime from me for how badly they kept botching the phone releases and updates with the 1+1.

I can't defend the battery drain, it's been a problem since day 1. I was just saying... I'm sure the new flagship phones aren't lagging like that after time. Especially with the additional storage they have.
