the iPhone is designed to be a product for normal end users. Android is a product designed for tech heads and developers.

The iPhone is one device on the OS platform. Android has to count for too many different hardware configurations. It's insane that my dual core iPhone 6s with 2 GBs of RAM and a 1715 mAh battery can give my 8 core Galaxy S6 with 3 GBs of RAM and a 2550 mAh battery a run for it's money and typically gets better overall battery life than the S6.

To make it a little simpler.

Android is java apple is c++.

Member webos was also c++ but the hardware was just trash and mad lag.

A lot of the problems being cited probably have nothing to do with the device itself. User error is more likely. Yall need to put at least a little bit of effort into searching for solutions before calling these good ass phones trash after one little issue. I have had my Nexus 4, a late 2012 device for nearly 3 years with 0 problems. Android isn't difficult and it does "just work" out of the box.

A lot of the problems cited here are problems that have occurred for years over many devices. Y'all need to take the capes off and stop blindly defending your platform of choice when many of the problems stated in here are well documented across the net. There are hundreds, if not thousands of different configurations out there. It's ridiculous to act like everyone's gonna be cool because your 2012 N4 is still working fine (for you)

This goes both ways though? Your android phone having issues doesn't mean everyone else is having issues. And Iphones aren't immune to problems either. You can look on any forum to find complaints. dikk ride threads like this just beg for a bunch of comfirmation bias.

Comments like "iphone just work" don't make any sense to me. Android does the same shyt. It's not difficult. Want to just send texts and snaps all day? Both platforms do that very well. Androids only real issue is phones getting left behind too early. But that's the open source nature for you. Google can't force these OEMs to update their phones for years

It doesn't work that way because the thread wasn't framed as "how good does your Android phone work". OP asked for reasons why those who left Android or are contemplating leaving Android and most people in here gave full answers based on their experiences. You popping up with the "user error" and Google for fixes advice (like that's not the first thing people try) turns a thread like this into one of those kinds of threads. You call it a dikk ride thread when the OP and thread title aren't even bait thread material like that.

The strawman argument you're trying to make with saying iPhones have problems too doesn't really apply if the problems that people in this thread were having with Android were solved by switching (which is pretty much the thread topic). It's like grasping at straws.

Your whole second paragraph doesn't apply to me as I'm a developer and am fully aware that no software is perfect. I have had numerous iOS issues (iPhone, iPad and by extension OSX). But that wasn't the topic of the thread. Plus I usually stay away from non-Nexus devices.

Chalk this convo up to a difference of opinion (since I know you aren't a trolling type of poster), but none of that shyt you're saying is helpful for people who aren't living in the sunshine like you are with your device.

:dwillhuh: most of the complaints in here are because the phones become laggy as hell after a few months of being used and that's mainly because of updates.

that has nothing to do with user error, and this is coming from somebody who had never had a iPhone before.

You're right... This thread is about Android problems so that is what people are gonna talk about. I'm gonna let them cook. Sometimes the complaints are a bit outrageous and I have to post on it. As you can see it's that "iphone just works" opinion that irks me the most as it implies that Android doesn't just work. I just like to point out that Android does not require root or custom roms to be a good experience. Maybe I came on a bit too strong with the user error shyt. Not trying to come at yall brehs.

Dudes in here are acting like IPhone users haven't left the IPhone platform for Google....just a lot of frustrated dudes in here over making the wrong choices for phones. If you had the Nexus One when it came out, it was the top phone. If you got the Galaxy Note 3/4/5 when they came out, it's the top phone. If you a Mac user, you should be getting the IPhone because you deal with that kind of weird $hit everyday and it's no learning curve instead of getting an Android, which a lot of you getting frustrated with for not doing proper research. I'll take the Note 4 over any IPhone in history, bar none. It's not even close. It was about the most perfect phone of the last 3 years easily. The crazy SD card storage, no nonsense, and the S pen functions make it a IPhone Killer. Everything else is off brand semantics with stanning getting in the way of sound key analysis.

I've been thinking of making the switch, but need to be convinced. I'm using an S4 right now, and its cool. I like it, but sometimes shyt gets laggy. I like the customization of android, and the ability to use an sd card. I now Iphone doesn't have that, I know cloud is available, but I'm just not sure.

Sadly a lot of phones are going the way of non-removable batteries and no SD cards.

That 64gb Space Grey jawn :takedat: #PremiumFeel

That's the same one I got today. What case should I throw on this shyt?
