The Truth
Yes, there is. We all might be unique and smart in our own way, but everyone instinctively understands that the guy who spends 30 years in a lab trying to figure out a way to get at cancer cells is smarter than the guy who can paint a graffiti masterpiece.

That isn't to say that intelligence is the be-all and end-all of existence or that we don't all have an intrinsic value, but this "you can't measure intelligence" wave needs to stop. We are what we are in this life. Some things should just be accepted.
I'm not...

I'm gonna say he spent 30 years trying to understand how cancer cells work instead of 30 years trying to become the next Picasso or something

Just because you spent more time trying to do something or accomplish something compared to somewhat else In a specific field does not make you smarter than them. It makes you intelligent in whatever you spent 30 years learning

Let's try this a different way: instead of talking about individuals let's talk on a macro scale. There is a direct correlation between a country's level of development and the mean IQ of its population. Coincidence?

Who would have thought resource distribution correlates with intelligence :ohhh:

Ah, and those resources just fell from the sky.:ohhh:

Those dastardly Japanese, they caught a really lucky break with that rich island of theirs.:mjlol:

Keep embarrassing yourself :heh:
You're the one who's embarrassing himself. You tried to weasel your way out of an unpleasant fact by suggesting that luck(aka resource distribution) was the reason some countries have a higher mean IQ than other countries. But how did those resources get there?

Why are the Japanese doing so well when their shytty little island is as barren as an 70 year old's womb?

Why don't you stop tip toeing around and say what's really bothering you. Let's dispense with the 400 elephant in the room.
