I believe it's the finger pointing and the idea that it's always someone else's fault. There isn't accountability for your actions anymore.

Plus the notion that "Everyone's a winner" creates a false sense of accomplishment in life. People don't know how to deal with actual failure and the fact that it grows character.

nikkas is definitely softer nowadays because they can't throw hands. Can't remember the last time I saw two youngins shoot the fair one.

it's the parents fault. first off, there are more single mothers than 2 parent households (i won't go too far into that for obvious reasons ) and kids are coddled more. these lil fakkits don't leave the house to be on their own until they are in their mid to late 20s and shyt. my pops left his moms house at 17. got married at 18 (i wouldn't suggest ANYONE get married nowadays at 18 tho), and carved a life for him and his family ever since. just like countless other men from his generation and before. picture a lil soft ass 17 year old leaving home and moving to another state by himself to start a life.... i left the house at 21. and that was as SOON as i finished college. so did my younger brother. These nikkas nowadays tho.... i have lil cousins WELL into their 20s and still living with their parents. its sad. kick their grown asses out of the house and FORCE them to get something for themselves. being 26 and working at Becks Prime and driving a challenger while living with your moms is NOT the move. and when they do move out, they are getting a place with a chick and knocking her up and not want to build a life with her. then they cry about child support. i can go on forever, but i'll stop here. there are COUNTLESS men out here doing the same thing.

shyt is ridiculous. this is one of MANY reasons that men are soft nowadays. you leave your mothers house just to end up at your womans house. have a bachelors pad for a while. get to know yourself and get your shyt together. learn what you like and dislike about women before you pick a life partner and knock her up. this is what i will tell my sons when they get to that age. and despite what their mother might say, their asses will be out of my house no later than 21 (give them some time to finish college, then it's )

1. They dont know how to be responsible for themselves, their shortcomings in life are always somebody else's fault

2. They have delusions of grandeur. Nobody wants to work their way up, they want to go from college graduate to boss without paying dues.

3. They cant fight. Nowadays, they skip the step of squaring up and go straight to jumping / shooting.

4. They stand for nothing. Nobody is trying to make a stand for anything except themselves.

5. They dont read books or try to understand things fully. They just want to google it and get the short answer. But thats like reading the abstract only yet thinking you know what the whole paper is about.

6. They give up at the first sign of difficulty.

7. They dont understand delayed gratification. They want it all, and they want it now.

8. The males act like females (emotional) and the females act like males (logical)

9. They lack the ability to communicate well in conversations or in writing.

10. The men dont know how to control their women, and the women dont know how to play their role

Lets even look at 20 years ago to now:

20 years ago people were saying cities were bad, and those places were averaging 2000 murders a year. Now people say those same cities are bad and they average like 400 murders.

20 years ago a kid acted up and he got his ass whooped. Now a kid acts up and he gets diagnosed as ADHD and put on Ritalin.

20 years ago it was a common sight to see kids walking, to school, with their friends, etc. Now if a kid was seen walking child services would get called in a heartbeat.

20 years ago kids got bullied and they either fought back or kept getting beat up. Now they commit suicide and parents protest.

Let's not even go into sports, music, social interaction, sex and basic gender identity.


This generation isn't 'soft' per se, just a bit more sensitive

If you ask white men in the work place its gotten soft.

They can't hate on or crack jokes on minorities. They can't harass women. They can't fire people for BS reasons. Theres more regulation.

The past wasn't ALWAYS better.

This generation is softer than previous, but soft isn't necessarily bad. I'll take this over what we had 20 or 25 years ago. Shyt, if I was my age where I live now I'd probably have a 50 50 chance of being dead or in jail.

But this generation is definitely overdiagnosed, overmedicated, too politically correct, too impatient, too me period...it's p*ssy...but what are we gonna do.

You have story's of kids killing themselves these days, because they were being bully over the internet, I feel bad for the kids who are being picked on, but to kill yourself over something that someone said over the internet, that's pretty week to me.

in our day the kids who got bullied could wait for the bell and do what they wanted. they got a little respite, at least. now they can never leave the social circle. they go all day getting made fun of, maybe physically harmed or threatened, then if they manage to get away or even just get on the bus home, they get text messages and phone calls in the same manner, then they get home and get their inbox and feeds flooded.

the kid who gets picked on today has it much worse than the ones before him.

also they've never lived in an internet-free world, the internet is very much an integral part to their existence much of the time. so to us, we can differentiate between message boards/facebook/twitter etc and our real lives. to them, it's like removing an arm, they don't know how to live without these things as easily because they've never done it by default.
