Only in America do people still hold on to that. Other first-world nations let their kids live till their 30s and then start life. With the cost of living out of control, and gas prices still sky high, that may be the norm very soon-if not already. Problem is, the broke ass people still think like that and have nothing to pass down to their kids who want to kick their kids out by 18. With no job skill and few career options, it only continues the cycle of poverty without a proper game plan to save up and to OWN shyt to pass down. Why you think that wealthy people laugh at us (outside of the money factor)? Cause our outdated mentality will leave us impossible to build wealth for the next generation. However, some people still hold on to the outdated 20th century ideas of getting on your own, getting married, and having a family by 25 as the idea ways of life. They refuse to accept change and to adapt to the new normal of the outside world factors, only to get shytted on financially and have NOTHING like their parents/ grandparents way of life. Especially black folk that think like that are always to brokest and stay the brokest out of every ethnic group.

I understand why the standard of life is going down too. Too many people refuse to acknowledge to have a NEW gameplan to tackle new factors of these times. That selfish "every man for himself" will ultimately end America as a whole. IT damn near ended the black community as it is and the blame game will never provide any solutions.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

Wild Self you are a great poster but you keep talking about the 'European lifestyle' I LIVE IN EUROPE!!! LOL. I have lived in London, Paris and now live in Berlin, you are speaking to a Black European. And nothing pisses me off more than when I read people who have obviously picked up inaccurate information from somewhere about how Europeans live. I do not know what you read or where you read it but the stuff you keep writing on here about 'Europeans' is not true,

I'd like you to visit me one year here in Berlin or we could go to London and I'll introduce you to all my friends who are in their 20's and out of the nest. I don't get where some Americans get this false notion from, I say some because Americans who have actually lived in Europe know this is NOT true but it appears a few who I'm not to sure what book, articles or studies they read have a false notion about Europe.

There are people in Europe who believe America is so dangerous that all you need to step out of your house and you'll get killed. We all know that is NOT true, but some Europeans just create these ideas in their head about America and run with it, that's exactly what you are doing now, you got some idea some where of how Europeans live and you've decided to run with it, not realising there are Europeans on this board who don't know what you are talking about as it is NOT relevant to every day life in Europe.

People DO move out here, they do, I can point you to numerous Articles about people moving out, In London parents tend to rent out their kids room to make money, there is a huge 'flat share' culture so after university almost everyone i knew got 'flat mates' and that's how people saw being in their 20's crazy room mates, getting drunk etc. Although people are getting MARRIED later, in Europe people are still moving out. Although they can't OWN homes, most share.

Visit spareroom.co.uk this is a picture of people in their 20's most graduated, job and spending a chunk of their rent to live with friends, I went to university and that's how EVERYONE lives. The European lifestyle you speak off is not accurate.

ALL my white peers at university couldn't wait to finish school, get a room mate and start working, people are often DEPRESSED to move back home after university.

Parents in the UK in particular are fukked up, their kids come home from school to find a lodger in their room because the parents know they can get same money from them.

In Berlin it's the same thing, I am 25 and own a house, I have MANY friends in same position.

On both sides of the pond in 2013 everyone should want kids out of the house, these parents aren't getting younger and this age IS expensive. Hence a 28 year old living up under you while you are reaching pension is not feasible. Unless your child can pay you FULL rent, you are better off finding someone who can and this is how European parents are these days.

If you ever visit I can introduce you to some parents so you can get their view. As I said you are a good poster who is right 98% of the time but you always seem to get it wrong when speaking about 'Europe' however I can't fault that as unless you actually live here it's hard to gain an accurate view of what our lifestyle is actually like.

The lifestyle you speak of is actually the one my family in Africa live, maybe you mean African lifestyle but they also get married much earlier so they stay home till they marry out of respect but their marry earlier they leave the nest anyway and in Africa there is an even bigger stigma in staying home.

and you expect us all to believe you now.
Actually no. You don't have to believe anything I post nor do I expect you to. It actually makes my posting experience a lot funnier when you don't believe me because of adhoms you all post when you can't make a true point so play on playa. You're not my friend irl nor do you give me any kind of financial sustenance lol

On SOHH you made VERY detailed posts about your college experience and now you're saying they were all lies :dahell:

You spoke about your frat, girls, being in college, so those were all lies huh ?

More lies like the dumb shyt you posted in this thread.
Actually, I never did, until I actually went to college. My postings used to be vague as fukk. Funny thing is, I never started posting on SOHH until winter 2007 over christmas break (thats when all the 08 Atlanta hs grads started posting for some odd reason), the semester before I left to go to college/graduated hs and even when I was posting then, I didn't post that much/was not a recognized name. Jam Junkie was a poster who knew me irl and she never even know cause I literally never posted shyt about shyt. Lol. Plus I shared my first screen name with a friend until I was able to create the DaChampIsHere brand. :smugfavre:

Didn't you say you were 40 in another thread ?

Believe everything you read on the internet brehs. :dead:

You right, I'm actually 28 bro. :shaq:

You are a liar and a fukk boy trolling online

fukk off.
Now you're getting it. :shaq:

A whole lot of what you are saying makes sense, but be careful with that last bit there...women have so many legal options and advantages these days that they can spin that into a divorce battle.

You are lucky because you've been married for a long time already.

the thing about that is NOBODY is going to tell me that I am obligated to let some grown ass nikka lay up in my house, suck up all the AC, eat all the food, and come and go as he pleases all while driving an expensive car and spending his money on bullshyt at my expense. my obligation was to raise them from babies to productive grown men. if you they are able to go to the Chrysler dealer and cop a brand new SRT8 joint and drive straight to the rim shop for new wheels, then they are able to get your ass out and get your own place so i don't have to support a grown ass man with bad money management issues. i have seen this scenario TOO many times, just in my own circle of family and friends. and their families just let them cook. not me tho....:smh: and if my wife doesn't agree with that, then its definitely irreconcilable differences and we SHOULD be in divorce court. then she can support grown ass men on her own...cause i'm not doing it...:camby:

i get this. but if the parents and child has an AGREEMENT that they will stay home until they save X amount of money so that they can purchase a house and have a nice savings so that they can be comfortable finacially in the fututre, then yes, i can see how that would work. there is a PLAN in play AND a time limit. but lets be honest, a LARGE number of these young nikkas want to just stay home so that they can spend money on Louis Vuitton shoes and Gucci belts and cars so that they can stunt on these hoes in the club and on instagram. i can't support that. nikka gotta go...:camby:if they are gonna do dumb shyt, then they will do it at their own crib on their own dime.

Less people getting killed doesn't make you soft

The rest of that shyt is not based upon any facts

People were killing theirselves for reason that were considers pretty weak back In the day too
This generation is softer than the previous because -

1. They dont know how to be responsible for themselves, their shortcomings in life are always somebody else's fault

2. They have delusions of grandeur. Nobody wants to work their way up, they want to go from college graduate to boss without paying dues.

3. They cant fight. Nowadays, they skip the step of squaring up and go straight to jumping / shooting.

4. They stand for nothing. Nobody is trying to make a stand for anything except themselves.

5. They dont read books or try to understand things fully. They just want to google it and get the short answer. But thats like reading the abstract only yet thinking you know what the whole paper is about.

6. They give up at the first sign of difficulty.

7. They dont understand delayed gratification. They want it all, and they want it now.

8. The males act like females (emotional) and the females act like males (logical)

9. They lack the ability to communicate well in conversations or in writing.

10. The men dont know how to control their women, and the women dont know how to play their role

In the meantime. Your generation are living back in your parents houses pushing 30 or past 30 because yall cared too much bout "thugging out" or "keeping it real" to care about your future lives. Now look what happens.

I think the point dude is making is you see more people with means to do it let their children stay longer if they want/need to than avg/broke people. That might be the stereotype but I have saw it and the times I have saw it almost without fail it goes along them lines. I do think saving up (for those that do it that way smartly) sets you up better cause a lot of people that do it the way you do end up struggling way longer and staying with people (partners or roommates) they don't want to be with cause they can't afford to do otherwise on avg from my unofficial looking around lol.

@CrimsonTider I understand where you're going with this but it's self defeating because If we're going by softer as in the description toughness used by the black community, then obviously this generation is "softer". All these things are social constructs and can't be quantified really, so "hardness" and "softness" are in the eye of the holder.
