Is there anyone over 30 making less than 50k annually on here?

The Truth
nobody said it's a bad thing I'm saying 50k isn't 150k like the coli acts like in most of the South, you will live a typical middle class lifestyle with that amount all these migrants flooding most of the decent sized cities have meant in a decade or two meant that 50k ain't going to be nearly as sexy in 15 years either
Nothing is like 150k but 50k in the south is probably like 70-80k up north...

And the median household in the US is about 50k... Im talking about people with kids, families, pets, etc.,

So a single person making 50k is fine. If a man and woman makes 50k each then thats a 100k household and they should be fine depending on the cost of living in their area as well. My cousin is a doctor in Alabama and her husband is an Air traffic controller... 200k household in the south if they wanted to but she barely even works unless she wants too. She doesnt have to because his salary alone is enough to keep them with 2 cars a a fukking mansion they built from the ground up

Cost of living is everything... Their are literally calculators all over the web for with that and i know, i was using them when i was being recruited for out of state jobs. I literally had jobs offering me a lil more pay up north that i turned down.

Florida doesnt even have state tax, so depending on where you stay in Fla then 50k as a single person runs a lil longer than 50k in Ga.

I see why you make 30k
Lol we on a discussion forum online grammar is not important and we got heads of companies that make spelling mistakes so not that big a deal how much you make and what is your age?

Long, sad story. :francis:
I went to college but I had a scholarship. :yeshrug:
For basketball? Oh that's cool. Didn't perform well or was it outside influences that screwed you up? I see you got that Slam Dunk character in your avi. That anime re-ignited my love for basketball.

Definitely a classic old-school underrated anime. Like 100+ episodes and I watched them all during one summer. SAKURAGI! Yo you remember "IKE IKE SHOHOKU AKE AKE SHOHOKU!" LOL

Sakuragi always trying to impress Akagi's sister LOL. The backstories in that anime are amazing though, backstories can really make a series.

Speak on being a claims adjuster a lil bit more breh

I've looked into this career before
I'm an adjuster for auto insurance. Don't get me wrong I love investigating accidents and telling people it's they fault and watch them get mad:umad: I also like making people's day good with good news. It's just not a very high paying gig for the work. The pay is decent for a single person, but not enough to raise a family on. Just make sure yo girl got a job too if you go into that field. Alternatively if you have a dagree you can work for the NTSB investigating plane crashes, train crashes, and watercraft and shyt like that. That's six figures.

No, football. I went through a personal crisis that was the reason for the dramatic change in my life. I said ''basketball reasons'' referencing David Stern's not giving reasonable details as a pun since I dont want to talk about it. Not actual basketball reasons. Ryota being my avy was a coincidence.

Rep for being a Slam Dunk fan.:obama:

Get a roommate or get married brehs.

My girl spends like 1,200 on rent. I spend like 800 on my mortgage plus 400 for car insurance , she spends 200

Once we get married one car and one place, instead of the 1,400 she spends and thr 1,200 I spend 2,600 will drop to like 1,400

It's hard out here my breh....:mjcry:

People in this thread are content with making 30k because they're better off than a lot of other people.. I guess.. I mean, if you're content with that then :manny:

fukk that though, I'm 29 and I sit in an in office where nikkas my age and just a few years older than me are pulling $120k+... I could never be content with making 30/40/50k when there's a clear path to $100k+.. but that's just me.

I'm 30 and no one has called me for sh*t at all. Hell I applied for work this morning then took my a** to sleep. Just got a break to chill on the coli before sleep.

I've always lived at home:yeshrug:hell mama needs my help. My sisters didn't move out until marriage and plus they couldn't afford it. That's just the way our family is -- if you can't live on your own wtf you moving out for; it makes no sense.

My 2nd oldest sister is married with 2 kids (15 -yr old autistic daughter and an 11-yr old and her husband is disabled but gambles their money)....has a house and mama still has to loan them money for food, bills, medications, etc. Sh*t she just purchased them a new fridge. Her husband so sorry he got the last fridge out of a grocery store :mjcry:. so that $50k you talking about still doesn't help her at all. Oldest sister has moved in and out multiple times and my 3rd sister has had issues too. On top of that her son just became a dad a few months ago. :wow:
Doesn't really matter about the money if you have stuff to take care of that's going to eat away at what you're making then :yeshrug:

I don't feel like a loser because I can't force anyone to hire me at all. The phone doesn't ring; I get no emails; nothing at all. :mjcry:I'm always seeing these openings but I apply and when they do hire the people never stay. I don't get it. :mjcry:

So it's gotten to the point to where I don't give a f*ck anymore. :mjcry:

I'm on the plus side of that, but cosigning them student loans raping my pockets :sadcam:

Making under ain't bad if you don't have debt. I swear, that's the basic premise of this shyt. You can't discard debt in these type of discussion. The real question should be how much is you saving per month. If you can't put a stack away then you on the under side.

Accumulate that bread by any means, everything else works itself out

So true. My take home pay ain't nothing to brag about, but I save a lot more than people I know just because my living expenses aren't that much - although I've been somewhat sloppy lately. I should be good come September though. Putting a stack away a month is incredibly easy imo if you are responsible. 2 stacks is what I'm aiming for.

50k will have you living like a king in the South, who told y'all that shyt :russ::russ::russ::russ::russ:
that's a pretty damn solid income but no need to exaggerate like hell

I really hate when non-southerners say sh_t like that. Always comparing their cost of living to ours, but do not understand the many variables as to why that's not even socioeconomically inaccurate.

I'm single, childless, live in the south, and making anything less than $80,000 a year AFTER taxes won't do sh_t for me.
