There being a ton of poverty doesnt change the fact the rent is too damn high![]()
Rent is too damn damn high here as well. How many people can afford over $1000 in rent in The Carolinas?!

50k and live like a king in the south..
Sure in some bumfukk state where ain't shyt happening..
I also hope yall south doesn't include South Florida...

50k here in Louisiana with no kids and your eating good.
I also trip when I go out of town and people tell me there rent for like a lil studio joint is like 1,800
I'm like you could have a really nice size house with land in Louisiana for that kind of bread.![]()

You a lie. 50k down here in South Carolina with no wife and kids u will be living like a king. A big house, a nice car, and savings.
I know right?
I live in the South and I want to know where all these "cheap" places are. Hell, you can't even find an apartment under $950 a month here that's available.
It's clear some of y'all don't live here and just making assumptions.
You can rent 3 bedroom houses out for 850/month in a hell of a lot of cities in the South, I literally just went on Zillow, everywhere from Atlanta, GA to Jackson, MS to Fort Worth, TX.
I'm an adjuster for auto insurance. Don't get me wrong I love investigating accidents and telling people it's they fault and watch them get mad![]()

The more money I make the more I see its all relative, the only time it will actually truly matter is when I have to raise a family.
Not in Hilton Head, Charleston, some parts of Florence, etc.
I live in SC, come on now...
Hilton head is a retirement/golf community and Charleston and Florence are close to the coast, of course I'm not talking about that part of the stateNot in Hilton Head, Charleston, some parts of Florence, etc.

I don't think some of these Northeast ppl realize how different the cost of living is down here. That same house that they're paying a million dollars for in NY can be had for about 180k down here. Gas is cheaper for your car, the price of food is cheaper. All that shyt adds up.
I mean it's definitely a trade off. I mean it's cheap to live here in SC but at the same time we don't have nearly the infrastructure of a state like California or NY, hell we don't even have a professional sports team in this stateI should've moved to NC or GA then. I came from the Northeast to OC California. Paying more in expenses here then I did back there. Make over $100k and living a $50k lifestyle.

I'm 30 and I make less than 50K, but I don't feel like a loser because 1) it's my school stipend (which means I'm literally being paid to attend), 2) It's still significantly higher than the median income for single people, 3) I don't pay rent or pay for food (or have any major bills) which enabled me to pay off my Sallie Mae loan and my car loan while still saving a downpayment on a house, and 4) when I graduate in three years, I will make significantly more.
Just thinking back from when I was working 40 hours at burger king to now working 40 or more hours at my current job everything I have is better, but I can't say everything I have I enjoy more (outside of my whip)Can you elaborate on what you mean by this statement?

But as far as over all happiness, debt, stress, and bill's its not like I'm balling out of control..... even though I'm making probably more than 4 times what I then what I was making then. Its all relative The person making less that 100k in there 30's is failure to the man making 120k. Its all relative and we wont find some form of contentment until we realize that. Especially here in the states
and
, so just trying to enjoy the movement before shyt really gets real
After paying rent, car note and other bills, I still have a decent amount of money to play with.
I also have excellent benefits from my job.
