That's the Black Menswear movement. I've heard so many goofy comments about it ranging from them saying they're patriarchal to wearing suits are appeasing white supremacist sentiments. Seriously we can't do any fukking thing without scrutiny. I've been to two of these events BTW and while they are not the end all be all they're GREAT for our image.
Black men and boys dressed well, getting along, having fun, and being happy, and I’m sure there are some father/son duos in that group. Yes, that is positive black male imagery.
This is a repeated mantra, it's always the same. 1) A group of black men 2)They're all in suits. Don't get me wrong, that's nice but what are their backgrounds?
-How many have good careers?
-How many are striving towards goals?
-What are they doing for the community?
This is a showcase of black male positivity. You want to shutdown the trolls and undercover cacs this what you post.
It really is a positive image for such a wide variety of men coming together while having different styles. Supporting each other's individuality within the group is important to see compared to everyday conformity
Certain demo has a palpable disdain for hetero black males. Apparently, if you aren't laying down your life for a black woman or toiling for one, you're a waste of space
