Is this an example of positive black male imagery?

I have no issue with someone feeling this is corny or tryhard. But I have an issue with the very same people who have spent the last decade telling us presentation (imagery, fashion, protest, sociopolitical stances via what you wear, etc) matters now telling us presentation doesn't matter because black men are doing it. They just need to admit they hate black men and move on.

Lol, none of these tweets make any sense. It's just clothes, not a character assessment. Tweets like the ones posted just reinforce negative stereotypes about Black men as if it's abnormal to see a Black man dressed in anything other than flashy streetwear.

I see a line full of Black men dressed up in suits and casual wear with upbeat music playing in the background. Men in my family dress like this all the time, especially in occasional situations.

You might have some self-esteem issues and stereotypical perceptions to get all teary-eyed about seeing Black men dressed casually and make a big case study out of it. It's not that deep unless you've brought into negative stereotypes and assumptions as mentioned.

With that said, they all look nice.

When there’s a whole cavalcade of people inside & outside our culture tearing down our image then yea.

Insecure black people get mad at these videos because it reminds them of men that(rightfully) want nothing to do with them.
You nailed it. It also begs the question, do black feminists and black LGBTQ actively try to sabotage black boys? WS and police already do enough, but when your own parents dont prepare you to compete...ON PURPOSE.....

These the same birds who are overly invested in meg vs tory, travis vs kayla, brunch and travel

But as soon as they see GQ gang outside all of a sudden they want to hear about community volunteering
Most of them dont care about "community", they're just grandstanding. they showed this during the BLM years when they were accepting sponsorships from WS companies like ford in exchange for selling out.

i don’t fukk with suits and always felt the emphasis on wearing one that many black men place was corny. however, my opinion on them has slightly changed somewhat.

ask yourself this: if you went to a venue, would you feel more comfortable if the dudes there looked like this:
