I think I've seen this thread about every rapper that has dropped his album, it's not about having buzz of a hit song it's about building a fanbase. It doesn't really matter if you drop the album first and then build it or the other way around.

maybe it's because a lot of my image of rappers comes from me being a kid but I miss when the hot "now" rappers looked like big grown men who had been thru life
It's a generational thing. Kids of Generation Z are zombies and raised off of fast food and drugs. That's why they look all frail and feminine. Their parents of Gen X failed to raise them properly.
